I’m Gonna Love You, Rain or Shine!

CCEE1306 Rain wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month we also have a new challenge hostess which is Mwah!

Apparently the 5th February was 'Weatherperson's Day', for our challenge this week create a card that features some sort of weather eg sun, clouds, rain, snow etc.

Who knew there was such a thing as “Weatherperson’s Day” not me until I started searching to see what special days their might be in February … what fun!

When I was making my card a week or two ago we were having a ton of rain, too much rain as it cause terrible floods across many parts of Queensland and New South Wales. The worst that happened to us is we lost power for over 30 hours, but I feel for those who have had to go through having their houses flooded yet again Sad smile. The Weatherperson’s did a fantastic job keeping us informed as to what was happening down here in Australia.

I actually made this card while I had lost power and my stamp room needs power so I can see … so this was made by torch or lamp light (I can’t remember which right now as I used both over the 30 hours …. I think it looks ok even though the lighting was bad.

The image is a Magnolia stamp … I haven’t played with these for a while now so it was good to get one out and ink it up.

Here is the inside of my card I added a sentiment and umbrella.

Oh, it is really an adorable card, Frances. And, done by torch light would really be quite a feat. Nothing holds down a crafter, right? LOL
I know the floods are terrible..so sad for everyone involved.
I love the big dots on your card, along with the adorable image.

Sorry you were without power for 30 hours, but you made the most of it. Your card turned out great!

Fun image, love the sentiment. It's so true!! There was one time in Greece we would have gone swimming in the rain if there had been any way of keeping our clothes dry. 30 hours without power - it's not bad on the scale of what other people experienced, but still no fun for you at all, I am sure.

Frances,
Your card is so very adorable and the DP is bright and happy. Wow, cardmaking by candle and/or lantern - you get an A++!!
