It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess which is Anne Harmon.
Opal is the October gemstone. Since they are oval, Anne has challenged us to make an oval card or use ovals.
As you can see by the photo at the top of created another pop up card using Karen Burniston’s Sizzix Pop N Cuts dies.
As the challenge requires ovals I have used an oval on the front of my card. The image used here is a digital image from CC Designs …. Mashi's Muffins Bumble Bella DIGI Image. Isn’t she a cutie!! The sentiment used here was created using my computer.
Here is the inside of my card. I have used the Sizzix Pop N Cuts A2 Card Base and the Sizzix Pop N Cuts Flower Insert. I die cut the flower section from the Flower insert a second time using white card and layered it over the flowers on the base of the card. I then used the flowers from the Sizzix Hello Sizzlits set and layered these over the top. I then used yellow buttons and yellow hemp cord for the centres.
I have again used the CC Designs Mashi's Muffins Bumble Bella DIGI Image to decorate the top of my pop up. I printed a couple of additional bees and placed them around my card. Two of the bees are attached to a thin strip of acetate and attached to the pop up piece above the flowers so it appears they are flying.
I used the Sizzix Wavy Labels Framelits for the sentiment … another oval. The sentiment is an older stamp I have had from another company called CC Rubber Stamps.
