Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I am sharing a masculine card using a few of the new Becky Seddon dies which are b being released by Elizabeth Craft Designs today. Check our Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team Focus on New Release - Becky Seddon blog post for even more inspiration using these new dies.
For my card I die cut a piece of White Soft Finish Cardstock using the largest square from the Fitted Squares die set. I created the background using distress oxides ink. I created a stencil using the flourish included in Becky Seddon's Vintage Gentleman die set which I sponged onto the background using distress ink. This was then spritz using a distress sprayer so that the background was subtle.
The background square was layered onto a black cardstock piece die cut using the Stitched Squares die set.
For the base of my card I used the postage square included in the Lake Scene die set. I adhere a top folded 5 1/2 inch square white card to the back of this panel.
To decorate my card I used the gramophone from the Vintage Gentleman die, die cutting it from White Soft Finish Cardstock and then coloring using inks. This was adhered to the lower left hand corner of my card.
The "For You" sentiment is from the Take Time For You die set, I trimmed of the "I" which was attached to the top of the sentiment and then adhered this to the top right hand corner of my card.
To finish the card I added a few music notes also from the Vintage Gentleman die set.
For the inside of my card I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the A Way with Words - Happy Birthday Collection Clear Stamp set to the centre of the card.
I die cut two flourishes from the Vintage Gentleman die set, sponged them with brown ink and adhered them to the card.
