Hey There, Birthday Girl!

Hi Crafty friends,

A couple of week's ago I participated in a white on white challenge for a challenge blog I participate in each week. I had ordered a couple of the new Spellbinders Doily dies to use for the challenge ... but as luck would have it the dies didn't arrive on time. Of course they arrived the following Monday ... typical isn't it when you want something for something specific.

Anyway of course I wanted to play with one of the dies. As you can see I didn't go with the white on white theme, maybe I will keep that idea for another time.

The die cuts three of the individual medallions at a time and you need to die cut 8 all up. I die cut the decorative layer from a guava cardstock and then used the solid die to die cut 4 panels from white glitter cardstock and 4 panels from silver cardstock. I linked the medallions together before gluing on the solid glitter pieces.

I layered the doily onto a large die cut circle before layering to a decorated top folding card.

The sentiment in the centre of the doily is from Taylored Expression's Simple Strips - Birthday stamp set and coordinating dies.

I added a birthday sentiment to the inside of the card using one of the sentiments from The Stamping Village's Happy Birthday stamp set. This sentiment was layered onto mega ovals.
