Sending a Birthday Pug

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It was my youngest daughter's birthday recently and as she loves pugs, and is the mother of a pug, when Spellbinders/Bibi Cameron came out with the Pug Collection I just had to add it to my stash.

As I love shaped cards, of course I decided to make a shaped card using this die set. My grand puppy is named Frankie (a girl) and named after me :). 

This card uses the Spellbinders Big Pug and the Cats and Dogs Accessories die sets.

I found a tiny birthday sentiment in a The Greeting stamp set to add to the pugs bone tag.

For the inside of the card, I added a pop up, using Karen Burniston's new Postage Frame Pop-up die set. I just had to see if it would fit and use the mechanism. I love how easy this die is to use.

I added a pug themed birthday sentiment which is from an older Newton's Nook stamp set.

I also added the paw print to the lower right hand corner of the card which is from Whimsy Stamps.

And one final photo, to show how the Postage Frame Pop-up mechanism looks from the side.

For my card today I decided to create a Christmas card using the new Penguin and Reindeer Snowman Add-ons which works with the Snowman Pop-up die set.

First up I created my card base which is 5 inches square. I added snowflake pattern digital papers that I found on Etsy. I created the penguin using the two dies mentioned above and also added two candy canes to the penguins wing which are from the Christmas Borders 2 die set.

I used the new Merry Christmas Lorna Labels Add-ons die set to add the Christmas Sentiment at the bottom right hand side of my card. This die set also includes snowflakes which I added to the sentiment.

I also added a blank label to the top right hand side of my card which is from the Lorna Labels Pop-up die set. This is a place to write a personal greeting.

For the front of my card I used the postage frame from the new Postage Pop-up die set. I die cut the frame from dark blue cardstock snd then the panels from white and sponged each of the panels using Suede Blue Catherine Pooler Ink.

I decorated two of the panels using sentiments from the Seasons of Cheer stamp set which is also being released today.

I aded the penguin using the Winter Animals die set and also added another snowflake from the Merry Christmas Lorna Labels Add-ons die set.

To finish off the front of the card, I added the candy canes to the postage frame.

Today I am sharing another card using new pop-up dies from Karen Burniston's October release. These dies & stamps will be available to purchase on Monday 28th October.

For my card today, I used the new Photo Fan Pop-up card to create a birthday card for my granddaughter who is celebrating her birthday in November.

I added two of the Photo Fan Pop-up mechanisms onto this card, one to add the letters of my granddaughter's name. If I ever make this card with a name on it again, I would add it to the top photo fan mechanism as it has more room up there to spread out. The letters are from the Alphabet die set which I die cut from pink glitter cardstock. The "12" on the top row is from the Numbers die set.

I used the charms from the Big Birthday Charms die set to decorate the top row.

The two stamped sentiments are from the new Photo Memories Stamp Set.

I kept the front of the card very simple as the focus is on the inside of the card. I just had enough designer that I used on the inside to decorate the front.

The birthday sentiment uses the Happy Birthday Lorna Add-ons die set.

Poinsettia Merry Christmas

 Hi everyone,

It's been a while! I am excited to share a card I created using two of the new dies from Karen Burniston’s upcoming release which become available on Monday28th October. For my first card, I have created a Christmas card.

I am loving the new additions for the Lorna Label Pop-up, for this release Karen has added the Merry Christmas Lorna Label Add-on to the collection. I love being able to have a sentiment as the pop-up. I die cut the Lorna Label from green cardstock and the pieces from the Merry Christmas Add-on set from bright pink and silver holographic cardstock before assembling to the centre of my 5 x 7 card.

I added the "fa la la .... sentiment to the box portion of the pop-up from the new Season's of Cheer stamp set. I was going to use the "and Happy New Year" from the set until I spied this sentiment in the set and it appealed to me for this card.

I created a pink poinsettia using the new Poinsettia die set which I added to the bottom right hand corner of my card. I also added a couple of berry springs to the top left corner and the bottom of the label pop-up.

To finish off the inside of the card, I added the white label for a place to write a message.

For the front of my card, I created two more pink poinsettias and added them to the top left and bottom right of the card.  I also added another of the sentiments from the Seasons of Cheer stamp set.
