Candy Cane Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog! Can you believe it is July already, this year is definitely flying by fast!

Many of us who make cards, like to do "Christmas in July", so this month I hope to post at least one Christmas card a week to celebrate this.

For my card today I am playing with new products from Made to Surprise by Sam Calcott. This is part of her Christmas Showstopper collection and includes the Circle Accordion Showstopper die set; two Christmas themed stamp/die sets; Christmas Sentiments stamp set; Patterned Paper Pad and a Christmas themed Embossing Folder.

As this is the first time using the Circle Accordion Showstopper die set, I decided to keep this card simple by just using it as it is designed. But there are lots of different ways to use this die set which I will get to later on.

I decorated the back of the card using the same papers I used on the front. I also added a sentiment to the centre panel, leaving lots of white space so I can add a hand written message to the recipient.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope. It will fit inside a 5 x 7 envelope.
