It’s A Fall Twist!

Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Andrea Murdoch is continuing bringing us some fun challenges for the month.

Being the third Saturday of the month it is time for another sponsored challenge. This time round our sponsor is High Hopes Rubber Stamps. If you haven’t checked out there stamps, hop on over and check them out as there are lots of fun stamps on this site.

Andrea’s challenge to us all this week is “Anything goes with a Fall Twist”.

For my card this week I made another Free Standing Pop Up card, these are fun and easy to make.

I took the theme for this challenge a little differently …. focusing on the word ‘fall’. I used High Hopes Rubber Stamps ‘Juliette's Leap of Faith’ … I figured she is falling through the air, fortunately she has a parachute on so she won’t come to any harm hehe. I have also used ‘fall’ colors and Designer Papers so either way I am covered. I added the Jungle Leaf Corner along the bottom edge of the my card.

Here is a view of my card closed up, so it can be sent through the mail.

Cute as a Button!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess, Sabrina continues with her September challenges.

This week is Technique time: your choice of either a Waterfall card or a Free- Standing pop-up card (tutorials in Resources on SCS).

As you can see I opted to create a Free-Standing Pop Up Card, you can find a number of tutorials online include SCS.

For my card I used Lovely Lulu from Kraftin Kimmies Stamps, isn’t she just adorable, I have paper pieced her dress using designer paper.

Here is another view of my card .. I have embellished my card using buttons and ribbon.

I almost forgot to show you a photo of my card when it is closed up … but fortunately I remembered me just in time .

MFTeaser–Pure Innocence

Hi everyone,

I have another  MFTeaser to share with you all today in readiness of the MFT Stamps new release, this coming Monday 10th September.

Today the MFT Design team are featuring the “Pure Innocence” range which are being released and of course I just couldn’t help but created another card using the Pure Innocence Owl Costume stamp set … she is such a cutie and an owl to boot, how could I resist her .

I decided to create a Free Standing Pop Up card today, then she can sit somewhere on my desk and I can look at her when I want to . You can find a tutorial on how to create one of these in the Tutorials section of Splitcoast Stampers.

Here you can see my card all closed up so it can be be mailed flat. The designer paper I used here reminds me of the feathers in the PI girls owl costume.

Here is the reverse side of my card, I decided to add one of the larger Die-namics Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax on the back so I could add a sentiment and write a greeting if I ever decide to give this one away .

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

It’s day 5 of the MFTeasers and I have one more Teaser to share with you! Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are featuring more of the new sets that are to be released by MFT Stamps on Tuesday 1st May.

The sets being shown today are “à la modes I’ve Got UR Back” and “à la modes Lightbulb Moment”.

For my card today I used the à la modes I’ve Got UR Back stamp set to create a free standing pop up card. I paper pieced the letters in the image as well as the girls shirt.

I used a number of die-namics to create this card which include

• Die-namics Botanical Beauty
• Die-namics Leafy Flourish
• Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome

Here is my card folded so it can be posted.

I have a second card to share with you today and that used the other new à la modes stamp set being released on Tuesday …. à la modes Lightbulb Moment. I have paper pieced the girls pants.

I have used a number of Die-namics on the front of my card, to start I used the new Die-namics Rectangle Stax 1 & 2 for the main image. On the corners of my card I used the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 & Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 . For the sentiment I used the Die-namics Bracket Tab. To finish off I used the new  Die-namics Mini Royal Roses and Die-namics Royal Leaves.

I also added some Caribbean Teal Twine to the left side of the card.

Here is the inside of my card, I added a sentiment and stamped the à la modes girl to the lower right hand side of my card. I also added the circles to my card using the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 & Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 .
