MFTeaser–à la modes

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

It’s day 5 of the MFTeasers and I have one more Teaser to share with you! Today the MFT Stamps Design Team are featuring more of the new sets that are to be released by MFT Stamps on Tuesday 7th August.

The sets being shown today are “à la modes Polished to Perfection” and “à la modes 80’s Girl”.

For my card today I used the à la modes Polished to Perfection stamp set, such a fun stamp set don’t you think!

The layout of my card uses a recent sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge (SSSC163).

The sentiment is stamped onto one of the tabs from the Die-namics Mini Tabs Foursome and the flower was created using the new Die-namics Layered Rose set. I used Blossom Twine and Pink Sorbet Twine around the bottom of the card.

Here is the inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment onto one of the arrows from the Die-namics Lead the Way set.

MFTeasers Day 4

Hi everyone,

It’s day 4 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 7th August.

Today the Design Team are featuring the Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp set and Jersey Die-namics and Stamp set.

It’s also challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess which is Silke Ledlow. Apparently her kids are are heading back to school on
Monday so she has asked us to create a CARD/PROJECT FOR A TEACHER.

I decided to use the new Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp set and created a card and bookmark.

For my card I used one of the sentiments included in the Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp set. The sentiment is stamped and layered using the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 and Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 . I used the Die-namics Wavy Edge along the designer paper … it’s hard to see a lot of it as the circle covers a lot of it. I added a ribbon using Grosgrain Ribbon Sno Cone.

Here is the inside of my card. I added the smaller bookmark from the Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp set and added one of the sentiments to it. I also stamped the book on the white section of the inside card.

And finally the bookmark I created using the larger Bookmark die from the Bookmark Duo Die-namics and Stamp set. I added another of the sentiments. At the top of the book mark I layered the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 and Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 with the new Die-namics Award Seal. You can also see that I used the Die-namics Double Dots Border either side of the sentiment.

A Grandmother’s Love Is Forever!

Welcome to day 3 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 7th August.

Today the Design Team are featuring two of the new stamp sets that will be released, these are Clearly Sentimental About Audrey Hepburn and Clearly Sentimental About Grandparents (which will be August’s Triple Scoop set).

For my card today I used the Clearly Sentimental About Grandparents stamp set. Being a Grandparent myself I think this is such an awesome sentiment set and can see it being used a lot. The sentiment was stamped and layered using the Die-namics Designer Labels 4 stax. I also added the Die-namics Fishtail Flags stax to either dies of the Designer Label.

Here is the inside of my card. I again used the Die-namics Designer Labels Stax 4 to stamp and layer the sentiment. I also added the border at the bottom using the Die-namics Double Dot Border.

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 7th August.

Today the Design Team are featuring 2 stamps sets. I am sharing with you a card I created using the Inspired By Front Porch stamp set.

It’s also challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week being a brand new month we have a new challenge hostess which is Anne Harmon. Anne’s favorite color is red, so this week she has challenged us to use red on our cards. My red is a dark red, close to burgundy but that is still red!

I stamped the image onto my card using Creamy Brown Fluid Chalk. I used the Die-namics Award Seal and Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2 at the top left corner of my image. The Die-namics Award Seal is sized to work with First Place Award Ribbon Die-namics, or it can be used independently like I have on my card here. Along the left edge of the rectangular panel of card I used the Die-namics Triple Scallop Border, I used the smaller of the three borders from this die for this. The sentiment used the Die-namics Designer Labels 4 Stax, I cut this twice … once from white and once from black and then cut apart the black piece to mount behind the white one.

Here is the inside of my card. I added the chair in the lower left hand corner and another of the sentiments. This time round I used the middle sized border from the Die-namics Triple Scallop Border along the right hand side of my card.

Circus Spectacular!

It’s Wednesday which means it’s time for this week’s Wednesday Stamp Club sketch over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS. Being the 1st Wednesday of the month, it is my turn to host the challenge.

For my card this week I have used the other stamp set which is being featured today by MFT Stamps….. Lisa Johnson’s Circus Spectacular Die-namics and Stamp set , this is such a fun stamp set. This set will be released with all the other new release stamps and Die-namics on Tuesday 7th August.

The circus tent is stamped and layered using the Die-namics Circle STAX Set 1 and Die-namics Circle STAX Set 2.  For the giraffe I used the matching giraffe Die-namics which is part of the set to cut it out. The tickets on the right side of my card use one of the tickets from the stamp set and these were stamped onto a piece I die cut using the new Die-namics Ticket Strip (this co-ordinates with Circus Spectacular). The Arrow is from the Die-namics Lead the Way set … love how fun this die set is!

Here is the inside of my card. I stamped the Elephant onto the right side of my card. I added the greeting which is stamped onto one of the sections using the Die-namics Ticket Strip.

We encourage you all to play along, and to enter your card in the weekly draw for a $15 gift voucher to the MFT Boutique. Simply follow the sketch and create a card or other paper creation. You may use any stamps and supplies that you wish. Each week, a keyword is assigned to the sketch. It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Tuesday 7th August.

Today the Design Team are featuring two stamp sets …. Who’s That Girl Gets Down to Business and Lisa Johnson’s Circus Spectacular.

For my card today I have used the new Who’s That Girl Gets Down to Business stamp set. I have paper pieced the girls suit and also the bag she is carrying using designer paper. I have used 3 of the new MFT Die-namics being released next week on my card these are ….

• Die-namics Retro Squares
• Die-namics Lead the Way
• Die-namics Layered Rose

The button in the centre of the Die-namics Layered Rose is from the  Sno Cone Buttons pack which is also available from MFT Stamps. I also added Buttercream Twine to the button.

Here is the inside of my card, I added another of the sentiments from the new WTG stamp set and added the Die-namics Retro Squares & Die-namics Lead the Way dies to my card.

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time over on the Alota Rubber Stamps blog, this time it is Marie Carlsson’s turn to host the challenge.

This week Marie has given us a photo of her favorite meal, Paella as inspiration for our card. Pick up the colors, ingredients or shape from the photo of the Paella dish.  Ingredients: rice, saffron, garlic, tomato, green peas, black olives, paprika, cayenne pepper, chicken, shrimp, mussels, crayfish, lemon.

I have to admit, this is also one of my favorite meals too. My daughter makes this for us on a regular basis and I always enjoy it.

For my card this week, I created a Halloween card using one of the new Halloween stamps released by Alota Rubber Stamps recently called Witches Clothesline. The sentiment, Happy Halloween is also from Alota Rubber Stamps.
