I wasn't sure if I would be able to get my card for our challenge I do with my goofy CCEE friends this week. My DH has started working on phase 2 of my stamp room revamp, which meant that everything in that cabinet behind me had to be taken out and the cabinet demolished. Of course then I was surrounded with stuff everywhere and also had my DH working to install the new cabinet. I had to work on this in between helping him and if I did need an item (eg the leaves background) .... I had to wait till he went outside to get something so I didn't get in his way.
But I did manage to get it done so I am very happy about that ... and the new cabinet is looking good ... part of it is complete but he needs to work on the other side of the cabinet (it is doublesided).
Ok onto the card. This week our challenge was to create a card using the "Thumping" technique. No you don't punch someone or the card haha! Basically you ink up your stamp with an ink pad and then use other colored markers to thump over the stamp. You can find a tutorial for this technique here.
To create my card I first inked my leaves background stamp with my more mustard ink pad .... I then used green, orange & brown marvy brush markers to thump some color randomly over the background stamp. This was then stamped onto white card, this is a fun and easy technique!
Don't forget you can check out all my CCEE friends cards here on our CCEE Stampers blog. If you want to play along and try this technique don't forget to post a comment on our CCEE stampers blog and to include the keyword CCEEC if you upload your card to SCS.
