Hi everyone,

This week Anne has challenged us to create a One layer cards are always easy to mail. Create a one layer card with a water color panel or background.
As most of you know, I like creating cards that do something ... I especially like playing with my Pop It Ups dies. So for my card today I challenged myself to create a one layer card using the Katie Label Pivot Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I colored my white card using distress inks and blending tool and then added some pattern to my card using the Swirly Flourish Stage It Stencil and black ink.
I kept the centre pivot panels white, just adding shading to the outer edge and added a sentiment on the right hand label and two of the birds from the Mini Bird Crazy and Things stamp set. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to watercolour the birds.
Here is a look at the back of my card.
Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Frances, you have just made these colors dance across your card. I love it and what great choices on the colors too!
Wow! Frances, you sure know how to take a one-layer card up several notches. I love the wild colors and print. Very cool!
I love the gorgeous pattern you have created on your one layer design! Amazing work, Frances!
Love this so much -- what a great background you created. Perfect one layer card, too! (Those type of challenges used to make me shudder, but now i know I have a back-up with the Pivots. ;-)
Just amazing, such fun, and beautifully colored!!
Wow Frances you have nailed this brief, so much depth of colours on a single layer card that you have achieved with all the colour layers is amazing.
LOVING the 'craziness' of the birds and the watercoloring....wonderful
