Oh So Merry Penguin

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas card I created using some of the September release stamps/dies from Mama Elephant.

I just couldn't resist this cute penguin which is an addition to their Favor Bag Accessory dies. I also loved the "Oh So Merry" sentiment which included in the coordinating die to The Penguin's Waddle stamp set. I don't normally buy coordinating dies to stamp sets as I use my Scan N Cut for cutting out images, but this sentiment was so different to any I have in my stash.

For the background of my card I started by blending Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxides inks to the front of a top folding white card. I then splattered Lawn Fawn's Liquid Stardust and white paint over the background.

I die cut the Star Grid Window from white cardstock and adhered it to the card base. I also stamps & white embossed two of the sentiments from the Mini Merry Messages to the two top stars.

I assembled the penguin and added it to my card base using foam tape.

I created a brick wall using MFT Stamps Small Brick  Wall stencil and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink and added it to the base of the penguin/card.

I die cut the "Oh So Merry" sentiment twice and layered them together and adhered them to the bottom of the card.

For the inside of the card I added the sentiment from the Cool Penguins stamp set. I then stamped two penguins from The Penguin's Waddle close to the bottom of the card and added the left over brick wall panel along the bottom.
