It's Time To Party

Hi Crafty Friends,

Slimline cards seem to be becoming more popular lately, especially since a couple of companies have released dies to help make this style of card. Of course I had to order some, I received the Whimsy Stamps Slimline Marquee die the other day, so I decided to pull it out to make my card for today.

I die cut the slimline die from white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide inks in Wilted Violet and Picked Raspberry to color the frame. I sprayed Perfect Pearls mixed with water over the panel and then splattered some gold paint over the top.

For the background panel, I used Catherine Pooler Aquatini and then covered the panel with white ink using a cloud stencil.

I used Mama Elephant's Piñata Party stamp set for all the fun characters decorating the card.

The sentiment comes from MFT Stamps Bitty Birthday Sentiments and was die cut using Taylored Expressions Simple Strips die.

For the inside of the card, I added a few more of the images from the Mama Elephant Piñata Party stamp set. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant's Scripty Bday stamp set.
