Hi Crafty Friends,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Kathleen Adams our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.
Being the third Saturday of the month, it's time for another sketch challenge.
I used MFT Stamps Carousel Horses stamp set for the images on each of the square panels. I used gold glitter cardstock for the poles the horses are on and also the panel at the left side of the card.
As you can see I created a pop-up card on the inside of my card using Karen Burniston's Train Pivot Panels die set, I love how this creates an extended pop up scene by using the die cut on it's side rather than the way it was intended.
Normally when I make a card for a sketch challenge I start on the front (sketch) part first. But for this card I had to make sure the card was wide enough for the red & white carousel at the top of the pop-up. So I create the inside and then went back to the front, which I knew roughly what I wanted.
I added some bunting paper to the back panel of my card, I thought it looked suitable for a carousel and added white glitter card for the base. I also cut the Train Pivot Panels die from white glitter cardstock.
I stamped and die cut 4 carousel horses and added them to the pop-up portions of the card.
I used sentiments from MFT Stamps Carousel Horses and Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp sets to add the sentiments on my card. I used Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set for the rectangle sentiments and an oval from Karen Burniston's Crosshatch - Ovals die set for sentiments.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
