Sending Heartfelt Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Shaker Card using Simon Says Stamp's February 2020 Card Kit, the kit is now sold out however you can still purchase all the things I used to create my card separately.

First up I stamps the heart frame from Simon Says Stamp's Window Frames stamp set onto white cardstock using black ink. This stamp set contains three different frames ... hearts; balloons and flowers as well as a number of sentiments and decorative elements. I used the coordinating Tri Window Die to die cut the windows in the centre of the frame.

I received one of the MFT Stamps Square Trio Shaker Pouches in with the kit, so I used that for the shaker window. I have since purchased more of the shaker windows so I have plenty to use for future cards.

I added the clay hearts that were also included in the kit, removing the red hearts and adding some dark pink sequins instead. I didn't use the sentiments included in the kit as I felt they were too bold for the look I wanted. I did find the "Sending Heartfelt Wishes" from a Uniquely Creative Sweet Sentiment Builder stamp set, which means this card could be used for any occasion not just Valentine's Day.

Along the edges of the card I added a scalloped border using a Simon Says Stamp die I have had in my stash for a few years.

The patterned paper on the base of the card is from Polkadoodles Timeless Rose Paper Pack, which was also included in the kit.

I had some white die cut hearts sitting in a container on my desk from when I was playing with a card I made using Honey Bee Stamps Fluttering Hearts Cover Plate. I colored a few of the hearts pink and liked the look, so I added them randomly around the white panel of the card.

For the inside of my card I used the left over patterned paper and a scallop border to add the panel to the left side of the card.

I die cut the words "with love" from the Bright Rosa Love Words die set, coloring them with copic markers for an ombre look. I added three more of the die cut hearts above the sentiment.
