Sending My Love

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a card I created for Taylored Expressions  February #TE Maker Challenge.

The challenge this month gave us the options: Foiling, Heart and Red. I decided to combine all three of the themes to create my card today.

For the background I used Taylored Expressions Conversation Hearts Embossing Folder. I blended Distress Oxide inks in Warm Lipstick, Festive Berries and Candied Apple onto a piece of white cardstock for an ombre look. I then used a Stitched Rectangle die to die cut the panel. I placed the panel into the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine. I layered this panel onto white and then a top fold red card.

I die cut a heart from red cardstock and sponged around the edge of the heart using Catherine Pooler Rockin Red ink.

I used two Hot Foil Glimmer Plate sets to create the two sentiments on the heart. The Sending My Love comes with a coordinating die so you can die cut the sentiment after foiling it. I used Taylored Expressions Sentiment Strip die to die cut the other sentiment on the heart.

To finish off the card I added some jewels randomly on the card.

For the inside of the card I added another red heart and added another of the foiled sentiments.
