Happy Birthday Princess

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Our challenge hostess Nicky Foden finishes off the month with one last challenge.

According to the Days of the Year Calendar, April 25th is Save the Frogs Day. So for our challenge this week we are to create a card that features a frog.

For my card today I used two products which I have been wanting to play with for a while now to create a fun shaped card.

First up I used Hero Arts Paper Layering Castle which I purchase last year. I decided to use this to create a side folding card by using the outline die in the die set to die cut a folded white card so that the left side of the die slightly overhangs the cardstock so it didn't cut through this area.

I then used both of the dies together to die cut the castle again from White Pearlescent Cardstock layering this to a lavender castle.

I die cut the top portion of the castle from dark purple card and used this to add some color to the top of the castle.

I added some grass along the bottom of the card.

I stamped the princess, frog and carriage using stamps from Sunny Studio Stamps Enchanted stamp set.

I added some more grass on the right hand panel of the inside of the card using Hello Bluebird's Ocean Scene die set.

I used the other princess and knight to this panel.

Finally I added a sentiment using the "princess" sentiment from the Enchanted stamp set and the "Happy Birthday" from MFT Stamps Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
