Fall Time

C4C255Fallwm

Hello everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess for September, Danielle Lounds finishes off the month with one last challenge.

It’s Fall in the Northern Hemisphere so the leaves are starting to change color, so for our challenge this week we are to incorporate leaves or a leaf into your project.

For my card today I created a Spiral Circle Pull Card using the die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

To decorated my card I used the cute mice flying around on leaves from Ann-ticipations.

I die cut the spiral portion from acetate and then decorated it using the leaves from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Pumpkin Die set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

    Dropping By ….

    C4C156 DroppingLeaves wm

    Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week Andrea Murdock brings us her final  challenge for September.

Our challenge is to use Leaves on your card.

I pulled out a couple of old stamps for my card this week, I love these cute little mice from Ann-ticipations playing around with leaves. I also used designer paper that has leaves on it, so I think I covered this challenge Smile.

Here is the inside of my card, I used the other mouse that I mentioned earlier (I said mice) to the lower right hand side. The sentiment is computer generated as I wanted something that would suit the images and I didn’t have anything.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Mouse on Leaf; Parachuting Mouse – Ann-ticipations; Happy Birthday – Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Brown; Green; School Daze DP – My Mind’s Eye
Other: Black Ink; Oval Nestabilities; Brown Brads; Oval Punches; Brown Twine;  Foam Tape; Copics

    Old Friends ….

    CCEE1132 Glass wm

    Hi everyone,

It’s Thursday which means it is time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.

Our challenge hostess for the month, Charlene is continuing her theme for the August CCEE challenges based on Interesting Facts she found from the Funfactz.com website. Each week in August, she is giving the team (and you) an interesting fact and an operative word that must be used for the inspiration of our design.

INTERESTING FACT: "When glass breaks, the cracks move at speeds of up to 3,000 miles per hour."

    OPERATIVE WORD: Glass

For this challenge I dug into some of my older stamps and found this stamping that shows a wine glass and wine bottle, both these items are made from glass! It always feels good to get some of those neglected stamps inked once and a while Smile.

I stamped the sentiment in two separate parts so that I can use part of it on the outside of my card and the rest on the inside. Not sure that that wine is really vintage though hehe, if you look closely at the label on the bottle it says 2004! Now I am not a wine drinker but even I know that isn’t vintage Winking smile. But I am sure the recipient will understand the meaning behind the sentiment right!

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Wine Glass & Bottle; Old Friends Sentiment – Ann-ticipations
Paper: White; Black; Green; DP – K &Co
Other: Black Ink; Circle Punches; Green Twine; Flowers; Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

    Flashback Friday - Aprons

It doesn't take long for Fridays to come around does it, it seems just yesterday that I posted my last Flashback Friday and here I am again posting another. This week I am featuring some Apron cards I created. The first two are using an apron stamp by Ann-ticipations and the last card is an apron card using a template.

If I haven't mentioned it before I do like stamping scenes, although I don't do as many these days as I used to do for some reason, I guess sketch challenge cards etc are really suited to scenes all that much. For the top card I created a scene with these cute ants carrying an apron, I just love these cute stamps (hmmm maybe one flashback Friday I should dig out some of my ant cards - I am sure I have some. Stamps like this are fun as you can get them to do all sorts of funny things. There are actually 4 or 5 ants that you can get - these ones are by Stamp Camp but there are a couple of other companies that also have ant images. Two companies that come to mind are alota rubber stamps and Rubbernecker, theirs are equally adorable - I know cause I have them LOL. This card uses one of the easiest grass stamps, it fits about the length of the card and on this one I have just stamped it twice with black ink and then colored it - so easy, it is made by Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers who have since ceased trading. As I used dp for the apron and cut that out, the ants are also stamped on card and cut out and then attached to the card.
This second apron is again the Ann-ticipations apron stamp that I stamped on white and yellow card. Before attaching the yellow pocket over the white part I stamped the apron using a tiny flower stamp (alota rubber stamps). The bees that are peeking out of the pockets and also the bzzzz are also by alota rubber stamps.
This last apron card was made using a template. The pink part of the apron opens up so you can write your message inside, I have again got something peeking out of the pocket this time a little bear by Printworks - this bear comes in a few different sizes. I again used a flower for the background of this apron, this particular flower is by Lucy's Stamps which is an Australian company.

Tomorrow I am going to a Scrapbooking & Papercrafts show - I am not a scrapbooker but there will be plenty for a stampaholic like me to buy. This time round I won't be working so it will be fun just going around and seeing all the great products. I'll let you know what I find tomorrow!
