Pand-tastic

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Pull Card I made recently using the Circle Spiral Pull Card die set which is an older now retired die set from Karen Burniston.

I wanted to play with my new "Pand-tasic" Clear Stamp set from Art Impressions. As you can see I went with a black & white color scheme with a touch of red added.

After stamping the panda in the cup, I masked the panda and then stamped the bamboo inside the cup.

When you "pull" the card open, it reveals two more sets of sentiments on circular panels.

Happy Mother's Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Liz Williams our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

In honor of “Hot Tea Month,” use a teapot or teacup on your card or use a “tea stain” technique if you like.

As you can see I have created a Mother's Day card for the challenge today. I know Mother's Day is a fair way away still, however while I was at the craft show in November, I picked up a tea themed stamp set from Close to My Heart and one of the cups has the "Happy Mother's Day on the cup. I always need a few Mother's Day cards  in my stash so it was a good excuse to use it.

I have created a "pull card" using the Pop it Ups Circle Spiral Pull Card die set which has now been discontinued.

I colored the cup to match the teapot and cups in the designer paper. You probably can't see in the photo, but I also added some shimmer to the cup using the Tonic Studios Shimmer Pen.

When you "pull" the card open it reveals a sentiment. I have added another blank circle which can be used to handwrite a personal message.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Birthday Bears

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created using products from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I have created another pull card using the Pop it Ups Circle Spiral Pull Card for the base of my card. I added one of the new papers from the  ModaScrap Color of Puppies Girl Paper Pack to the sides of my card.

I used the Krista Schneider Teddy Bear Picnic and Bird-day Party Clear Stamp set with coordinating dies to decorate the card.

I added two border stripes along the right hand side of my card using the Bead Strings 2 die set, to which I added Pink/Silver Glitter Dots Peel Off Stickers.

When you 'pull' the card open it reveals a sentiment which is from the Occasions Clear Stamp set.

Go Wild

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing another card using some new dies I purchased recently.

For the base of my card I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

To decorate my card I used two of the new dies I purchased from Couture Creations. The grass on the bottom of the card is the leftover scraps after die cutting the A Tower of Giraffes die. When I die cut the giraffes to make the card I posted on Wednesday I noticed that the scraps looked a little like grass so I used it again to cut the grass on this card.

I also used the A Dazzle of Zebras to decorate my card. This die is a set of 6 zebras. And I discovered that a group of Zebras can be called a dazzle ... I guess all that black and white can be a little dazzling right

When the card is closed you see five zebras and when you open it up you discover another two making seven in total.

Paper: White; Black; Into the Wild Collection Tiger DP - Kiaisercraft

Happy Halloween

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess for October, continues to issue the challenges.

This week Joanne has given us a double challenge. First, you must make a true one-layer card….nothing popped up or embellished. Second, your card must have a Halloween or Thanksgiving theme.

I am not a fan of making one-layer cards. Don't get me wrong when I see ones that others do I admire them greatly, but I just don't like making them for me! I much prefer to be playing with my dies especially my Pop It Ups dies ... so the first challenge for me was how to make a one-layer card but still get to play with at least one of my Pop it Ups dies.

We don't celebrate Thanksgiving down here in Australia and to be honest Halloween isn't all that big down here either. I had planned on just making a fall themed card with Thanks on it but when I started playing I didn't like anything I did ... so on to plan b! Make a Halloween card using the Spiral Circle Pull Card and the Halloween Scene die set to create a one layer easel card.

Now of course I was not allowed to added die cuts to my card, then it wouldn't be a true one-layer card. So I die cut the Spiral Circle Pull card in white card, die cut the graveyard from the Halloween Scene die set for photo copy paper. I then used the negative piece of the graveyard photo copy paper piece and air brush the graveyard using my Copic Airbrush.

I then masked the circle area of the pull card as I knew I wanted that to be the moon and airbrushed the rest of the card purple.

I then used the bat, crooked tree, spider and web from the Halloween Scene die set and created stamps using fun foam and stamped them onto my card using black ink.

I also added the stamped "31" and "Happy Halloween to the card using black ink.

This is what the card looks like when it is closed using the closure tabs which are created when you die cut the Spiral Circle Pull Card die. It also reveals another circle .... so another moon! This time I stamped the "Spooky Halloween Greetings" and bat from the Halloween Clear Stamp set.

And here is a look at my card when it is fully open ... just to proof it is truely a one-layer card haha!

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Joanne our challenge hostess for the month finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Joanne tells us that .... she loves the ocean (thus the name of her blog).  Spending time there brings me peace and joy.  Make a card depicting the type of place that brings you peace and joy.

I thought about this challenge for some time before I made my card, I could have created something stamping related because I guess that is one of my favorite places to be as is my house. But then I thought some more and I thought the place didn't really matter if I can spend some time with my two grandchildren.

I love this cute image of the boy and girl making funny faces, this line of stamps look so like my two grandchildren and because I didn't want to waste the card I figured I would create a Mother's Day card for next year.

As you can see I have created a Pull Card using the Spiral Circle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs

When you "pull" the card open it reveals two sentiment panels with sentiments suitable for Mother's Day.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Ahoy!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Aicken our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

For our challenge this week Karen as asked us to .... Make it MASCULINE. Most of us need a masculine card or two in our stashes so let’s see a masculine project this week.

A couple of weeks ago Karen Aicken posted a card on her blog where she used the Spiral Circle Pull Card die set to create a Circle card rather than the normal square or rectangle cards we normally make using this die set. Of course I LOVED the idea so my card today is inspired by what she created. You can see Karen's card here.

For my card I used the Spiral Circle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs to create the basic Pull Card and then used the largest Circle in the Fitted Circles die set to create the circle shape.

To decorate my card I used the Boat die and Ahoy Sentiments  and General Sentiments Clear Stamp Set both from the new Joset Designs Collection which were recently released by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

When you 'pull' the front flap open it reveals two circle panels with sentiments.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

For the base of my card I created a Pull card using the Circle Spiral Pull Card die set

On the inside of my card I used two sentiments from Cornish Heritage Farms' Birthday Greetings stamp set. If you don't know Riley and Company & Cornish Heritage Farms are owned by the one company Stampers Ink.
