Avast, Me Hearties!!!!!!!
It’s time for another challenge with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.
This month it is my turn to host the challenges and I have again taken my inspiration from the “September Holidays and Special Days” site.
Did you know that Sunday 19th September is International Talk Like A Pirate Day! So my challenge to everyone this week is to create a pirate themed card. If you don’t have pirate stamps think of what a pirate uses eg. ships, eye patch, parrots, treasure, treasure chests etc. i think you get the idea.
The hardest part of this challenge for me was in deciding which pirate stamps to use …. I seem to have quite a collection of pirate stamps. I just can’t resist them! I ended up deciding to go with a couple from Kraftin’ Kimmies Stamps which are some of my newer acquistions!
The scene in the background is a stamp from Starving Artistamps, I stamped this first and colored it in using my copic airbrush to color my sky and sand. Then I added the two pirates and treasure chest which were stamped on separate card and added to my card using foam tape.
Here is the inside of my card, I stamped the barrel, skull & anchor stamps from Magnolia stamps on the bottom left hand side of my card. And also added my favorite pirate sentiment … from The Cat’s Pyjama!
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
