Hi everyone,
It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 1st February.
Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamp sets that will be released, these include: “Jolinne – Catch A Star”; “Flopsey Smooth Sailing” and “Twisted Foursome”.
It’s also challenge time with the Crazies over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week Maria Bell who is the challenge hostess for January, has challenged us to create a card with a vintage or shabby chic element eg. distressing, lace, pearls, off white, aged appearance or a vintage image.
For my card today I used the new Jolinne – Catch A Star stamp set. I distressed the edges of each of my layers and also added lace to the bottom portion of my card. So I think I have fulfilled the challenge, hopefully … I also added stitching around all the panels too.
I also added the smallest of the butterflies to the to right hand corner of my card. This is from the new Die-namics Butterflies Die … another fun die!
Here is the inside of my card. I added some more distressing to the panel here and also more stitching. I stamped part of the sentiment which is also from the Jolinne – Catch A Star stamp set and then added another of the butterflies from the new Die-namics Butterflies die where the word ‘butterfly” would normally go. The sentiment was layered onto the Die-namics Layered Labels die.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
