Hi everyone,
Welcome to day 4 of the MFTeasers in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this month. The new products will be available on Tuesday 11th June at 10 PM in the MFT Boutique.
Well it is official … I have now started my Christmas cards for 2013!!!!!! This is my very first one! When I first saw the new Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics I immediately thought what a great Christmas Tree it would make. So of course that is what I decided to do with it today. I love when a set that is made for some other purpose can be used another way to create something completely different, giving you more things to do with that set … whether it is a stamp set or die-namics set etc.
To create my Christmas Tree I die cut the four smaller of the frames pieces from the Chalkboard Frame Builder Die-namics set using Gumdrop Green card stock and the longest piece using Hot Fudge card stock. I also cut out one of the smaller triangles from the Triangles Die-namics set from Gumdrop Green card stock.
Next I stamped over each of the Gumdrop Green pieces using the dotted pattern from the Washi Patterns stamp set using Gumdrop Green ink. I assembled these pieces to form a Christmas tree as seen on my card above. To finish the tree I added a star using the Die-namics Stacking Stars set and Lemon Drop card stock.
For the background piece I used a piece of Nightshift Blue card stock and the new Scattered Stars Die-namics to create my starry night background.
I used the Die-namics Snow Drifts to create my snow at the bottom of the card using white glitter paper.
The “Let it Snow” sentiment is from the LLD Document It – December stamp set and was stamped in white onto a Nightshift Blue card stock and the Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layers STAX . This was all then mounted onto a folded card using Sweet Tooth card stock.
For the inside of my card I added the sentiment “Wishing You Joy” which is from the LJD Blissful Butterflies stamp set. I then added the word Christmas which is from the LLD Document It – December stamp set and the “2013” which is from the LLD Document It - Days and Dates stamp set. The sentiments use Black Licorice ink.
To finish off the inside I added a few of the stars which came from when I created the front panel using the Scattered Stars Die-namics.
Here are the MFT products I used on my card today. Please note the links to the new products won’t work until they are released by MFT Stamps on the 11th June.
