Hi everyone,
I have been playing with my Karen Burniston Sizzix Pop N Cuts dies again. The inside of my card was inspired by one created by Donna Wright that she created for the Sizzix Pop N Cuts challenge last month. I just loved how she turned the Sizzix Mug & Heart Insert into a beer mug. This makes this insert even more versatile!
I hadn’t intended to use this insert when I started my card, but as I was coloring the image which I have used on the inside it was just calling … it is the perfect insert for the image don’t you think!
Here’s a closer look at the front of my card. I used the Cheers stamp set from Flippin’ Stamps which I have had sitting in my use me box for a while. I used the Sizzix Pop N Cuts Square Card with Ornate Edge for the base of my card.
I didn’t think I would ever put rhinestones on a male card but I did for this one … along the metal section of the beer keg and on top of the fishtail piece at the top right side of the card. These are a steely type of rhinestone which worked well on this card.
Here is the inside of my card again … I also copied Donna by using acetate over the designer paper mug … I tried doing it without but I think adding the acetate looks better. To get the look of the beer mug I used an embossing folder.
Along the bottom of my card I stamped a row of beer glasses (also included in the stamp set) and on the top right corner I added the sentiment cheers.
I wanted this to be a birthday card so added a “Happy Birthday” to the heart panel on the left side of the card. I also decorated my card with a couple of moustaches.
Here is a close up of the beer mug and the heart panel.

Awesome! Love it, and now, of course, I want a beer!
Wow, great card. I'm honoured that someone thinks my creations are worth enough to copy! Great thinking using an embossing folder, I wish I'd though of that it have been much easier! Dxx
