Hi everyone,
It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne is our challenge hostess for March and she has another fun challenge for us this week .
Snacks - Today, the second Thursday in March, is Popcorn Lover’s Day. Popcorn happens to be Joanne’s favorite snack. Tomorrow, March 14, is Potato Chip Day, another popular snack. Today’s challenge is to make a card with some kind of a snack connection.
As you can see I decided to go with the popcorn theme for my card today using some of my Darcie Bears which I have had for years.Of course the base of my card was created using the Katie Label Pivot Card die set Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. Have I told you how much I love this dies!!!!
Along the bottom edge of my card I added a sticker border, this was actually a silver sticker that I have colored using a green copic marker.
Here is the inside of my card, I used three more Darcie images. The sentiments used on my card are from The Stamps of Life’s Words4Popcorn stamp set.
I also used some Transparent/Silver Glittered Dots which I colored green on either side of the sentiment.
And a quick look at the back of my card.
Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
Here are the products I used on my card today:
Stamps: All Bears – Darcie Rubber Stamps; Words4Popcorn – The Stamps of Life |
Paper: White; Green; Pink; TV Dinner DP – Cosmo Cricket |
Other: Black Ink; Elizabeth Craft Designs Katie Label Pivot Card; Border Stickers; Glitter Dots Stickers; Foam Tape; Copics |

You always have the perfect images and always a cool card! Love it, Frances!
Cute, cute, cute!!!
so dang cute!
I bet there's not a single obscure holiday that you don't have the perfect stamp set for. Hmm . . . let me challenge you . . . how about this, from Holiday Insights:
When : Always March 29th
Smoke and Mirrors Day is a day of illusions. The term "smoke and mirrors" means something is not really as it appears to be. People often put up smoke and mirrors to hide something.
Great images and saying for this challenge.
So cute. I love Karen's dies.
Love, love your little bears :D. And the interactive fold couldn't be more perfect for adding to the feel of pocpcorn and the bears bouncing around.
I KNOW you LOVE these dies....and they are growing on me too....this one is cool cuz it gives more play room....IYKWIM
