Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for our April Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team Designer challenge. Check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog today to see what our talented designers created for the challenge.
Our challenge this month is .....
Scissor Spring Mechanism - Spring has sprung and to celebrate we are adding some spring to our projects this month in a slightly different way! By adding the Scissor Spring Mechanism to our stamped or die cut images, it gives the effect of springing or bouncing and can be lots of fun! Add some spring/bounce to your card, Scrapbook layout, etc., by including the Scissor Spring Mechanism to your project.
For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on our website to 3 winners.
To enter simply leave a comment on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook Giveaway Blog Post or the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post and tell us What Elizabeth Craft Designs dies or stamp sets would you use with the Scissor Spring Mechanism die set to create a card, scrapbook layout of home decor item?
We will select 3 lucky winners in a random drawing
The winners will be announced on Friday, April 20th on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog and our Facebook page.
For my card today I used the Scissor Spring Mechanism with the hot air balloons from the Vintage Balloon Race die set to pop up them up. It's lots of fun to play with the hot air balloons and watch them bounce around.
You can see the Scissor Spring Mechanism under the hot air balloons in the photo above.
Check out the video above to see how easy it is to assemble the Scissor Spring Mechanism.
I added the sentiment from the A Way With Words - Soar Collection Clear Stamp set. The sentiment is actually one long line which didn't fit on my card, so I masked the sentiment to enable me to create a two line sentiment and omit the word "soar" from the end.
On the bottom left hand corner I completed the sentiment by adding the A Way With Words - Soar sentiment die.
For the inside of my card, I added a sentiment from the Plant, Bloom & Grow Clear Stamp set and added the smallest hot air balloon from the Vintage Balloon Race die set.
I hope you enjoyed my project today. Don't forget to check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog to see all the wonderful creations by our talented designers and for a change to win the giveaway.
