Happy Beer-th-day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our February Paper Pros challenge. This month our challenge is hosted by me, I challenged everyone to create a Male Birthday Card.

I am not sure about you but I am always in need for male themed birthday cards.

For my card today I decided to play with Karen Burniston's Rockin' Rectangle Pop-up die set. Instead of making the standard A2 sized card, I decided to make mine a square card, the finished sized is 5 1/2 inches square.

To decorate my card I used Darcie's Heart & Home Cheers stamp set. I probably could have layered the beer mug using the large rectangle from the Rockin' Rectangle Pop-up die set, however seeing this was a male themed card I didn't want to have scallops on it, so I used two rectangles from the Crosshatch Rectangles instead.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I was undecided whether I would include a window on the front of this card or not, but in the end as you can see I did. Because I made a different sized card, I needed to add my rectangle to the pop up panel and then used this as a guide as to where the window would go.

I again used the Crosshatch Rectangles die set to create the frame around the window.

Here is another look at the front of the card when it is fully closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

You can see what the other "Paper Pros" created for this challenge on their blogs:

That is so cute and decidedly masculine! I love it!
