Wishing You A Hootiful Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Kathleen Adams our challenge hostess for February continues to issue the challenges.

Being the third Saturday of the month, it's time for another Sketch challenge.

I recently received the Honey Bee Stamps Rectangle Window Trio die set and as it was the same three rectangle panels as the sketch this week I wanted to incorporate it into my card.

I also received a fair few owl stamp sets for Christmas, so I decided to grab one of those for this card. This stamp set is from Heffy Doodle called Hootiful.

To create the background I used Distress Oxide inks in Shaded Lilac & Blueprint Sketch to create an ombre background and then splattered white paint all over the background to look like stars.

I added the "Hoot Hoot Hoot" on the right hand side of the card in place of the stars.

For the inside of the card I repeated the Distress Oxide background to create my owl scene.

I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set to create the pop-up sentiment.

Here is a close up of the left hand side of my card.

And one last photo, this time a close up of the right hand side of my card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
