Thank You Teacher

Hi Crafty Friends,

t's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month, it is time to introduce our challenge hostess for the month which is Lois Bak.

Lois tells us that this is the 60th anniversary of her graduation from high school – June 9, 1959. So our challenge this week is to make a card depicting your favorite subject in school.

I guess if they had had owls as a subject as school, that might have been my favorite subject, but alas no. It has been a long while and I have put this out of my mind, but I guess my favorite subject was Business Principles.

I decided to take the opportunity to make another teacher thank you card. With two grandchildren and they each having a number of teachers, I need to make a few cards each year.

Recently Clearly Besotted released 3 stamp sets which as soon as I saw them I knew I needed as they were perfect for teacher or school themed cards. For my card today I used two of the stamp sets, Wise Owl stamp set (how could I resist this set!) and the Picture It Classroom stamp set. The classroom scene is all one scene on the stamp, but after stamping it, I cut out all the images individually so I could make it fit on the card I was making.

As you can see I have created another Double Slider Surprise Card, using the Lawn Fawn die set. Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

When you pull the tabs on either side of the image, it reveals two white panels which have another owl from the Wise Owl stamp set and a sentiment. The sentiments are from Heffy Doodles Teach Me Words Clear Stamp set.

I attached my Double Slider Surprise Card to a top folding card, so I added another of the owls and another sentiment from the Teach Me Words stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
