Just Sitting Here Thinking Of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

t's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Vicky Gould our challenge hostess for July continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently today (11th July) is Cheer up the Lonely Day. So for our challenge today we are making Thinking of You cards that can be sent to someone to cheer up someone.

Who doesn't love to play with an interactive card? So today I am sharing a card I created for our challenge using the new Mama Elephant Turner Surprise Card die set. The video above shows my card in action.

To decorate my card I decided to use Clearly Besotted's Sitting Here Thinking stamp set. As I wanted my scene to be on both circles with a different animal sitting on the park bench, it required a little bit of careful masking and stamping. I positioned the tab/slit at the top of the card as I needed to be able to have the animal stamped without it being in the way of the slit that is on the circle which makes this interactive card work.

Here you can see the different stages as the tab at the top with the heart is moved around the circle revealing the scene underneath which shows a squirrel sitting on the park bench, where there once was a dog when the card is fully closed.

For the sentiment I added the long sentiment from the stamp set, die cutting it using Honey Bee Stamps Banner Builder die set.

For the inside of the card, I added the remaining designer paper to the left hand side of my card and then added a stamped/die cut sentiment which is from Honey Bee Stamps Smile stamp & die sets.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
