Thanks for stopping by my blog, today I am sharing a get well card I created recently.

To create my card I used Heffy Doodle's Bed Heads stamp set, this is a super cute stamp set which has been sitting on my desk for some time ... I finally got around to using it. That's one of my aims for 2024, to use my stamps and dies I have previously purchased.

I created a Centre Step Card using Creative Craft Products High Centre Stepper Card die set.

I added the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Slimline Heartbeats die set.

For the inside of the card I added a sentiment using Simon Says Stamp's Healing Hugs stamp set.

I also added the bed side table and some of the accessories included in the Heffy Doodles stamp set.

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's only about 4 to 6 weeks before the grandchildren finish school for the year, so today I am sharing another teacher thank you card I created.

I have created a Mini Slimline Card using Whimsy Stamps Mini Slim Notched Stitched and Mini Slim Notched Die Sets. I stencilled bricks over the white panel before adding to a side folding 3 1/2 inch x 6 1/2 inch Mini Slimline Card.

To decorate my card I used Waffle Flower Crafts Layered Books and Shelves die sets. I die cut and assembled so many books, that I have enough to make a few more cards yet. I did go a little overboard, but it will save me time next time I need them for a card.

I used the teacher die from Heffy Doodle for the word and added the "#1" using Karen Burniston's Mini Alphabet and Numbers die set.

For the  inside of the card I stamped a sentiment using Heffy Doodles Teach Me Words stamp set. I also added two more books from the Layered Books die set.

Pencil Teacher Flip Card

Wow where does time go!!! It's already mid September and it is only a few months until my grandkids finish school for the year and I still have teacher thank you cards to get made. For todays card I pulled out my Creative Craft Products Circle Perfect Flips die set to create a teacher themed flip card ... yay one more done!

Last year after purchasing the Sunny Studio Stamps Color My World Stamp/Die set, I had a session where I stamped out heaps of all the different images ... pencils, crayons, paintbrushes etc. Fortunately I only made one card using the set last year so I had heaps of images leftover ...  which made this card quick to make. As you can see I used the pencils from the stamp set for this card.

For the centre circle I used an older Papertrey Ink die set for the "#1" and a Hefty Doodle Teacher die for the word.

When you pull the card open it reveals the back of the circle with another sentiment. This time I used sentiments from Heffy Doodles "Teach Me Words" stamp set, this is my go to set when I am creating teacher cards.

Today I am sharing another sneak peeks of one of the new Karen Burniston die sets which is being released next Monday 5th September.

Yesterday I shared a card using the new Label Charm Pop-up die set which I created in Mini Slimline format. For my card today I decided to use the same die set, however I created a side folding A2 card. This die set was designed to work on a side folding card which was 5 - 6 inches wide.

I need teacher thank you cards for my grandchildren to give to their teachers at the end of the year when school breaks up for the year. So for this card I pulled out Clearly Besotted's School Day Play stamp set, I love the cute characters in this set that are holding school related items.

I used Karen Burniston's Thank You die which I cute apart to make in one line and added it along the bottom of my card.

When you open the card, the images that show on the label when the card is closed pivot around so they can be seen on the inside too. I added a sentiment to the centre label which is from Heffy Doodle's Teach Me Words die set.

Violin Shaped Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

My granddaughter is learning the violin and my grandson the cello through school, so I created this Violin shaped card for them to give to their music teacher at the end of the year.

To create my card I used Paper Discovery's Music - Play On Guitar and Violin Card Front die set. This die set can create cards that feature violins, guitars and also a Cello.

This card is 5 inches x 7 inches when folded. I die cut the front of the card using the main violin die and also from woodgrain paper. I then used the accessory dies included in the set to add the strings etc.

As this card will be given to their teachers at the end of the school year which is December, I found some Christmas Carol music themed paper to add to the right hand of the card. This can be seen when the card is closed.

I computer generated the "Music Teachers" sentiment on the right side of the card as I didn't have anything in my stash suitable for a music teacher. I also added some music notes around the card, each of the notes are 3 layers thick and then I covered them all with glossy accents which helps them stand out a little better.

On the left side of the card on the back of the violin shape, I added a thank you sentiment using Hefty Doodle's Teach Me Words stamp set.

 

To A Fabulous Teacher

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Kelly Santi our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Thankful leaves - Being that it’s Thanksgiving, create a card with a thankful theme – bonus points for using a leaf/leaves somewhere on your card!

Since I live in Australia, I have no need for Thanksgiving themed cards as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving down here. But I did need to make one last Teacher Thank you card for my grandchildren to use for their teachers at the end of the school year which is coming up in a few weeks. My card also doesn't include a leaf/leaves, however the pages of a book can also be referred to leaves.

As you can see by the photo above, I have created a Slimline Pop-up card using Karen Burniston's new Little Labels Pop-up die set. 

To decorate my card I used Picket Fence Studios Your Next Book Dear stamp set. I also used Heffy Doodle Stamps Teach Me Words stamp set with coordinating stamp set.

I added the Crosshatch - Ovals die set so I could add a place to write a handwritten message.

For the front of the card, I added the same patterned papers I used to create the front of my card. I added grey cardstock to the front of the card, to give us the footpath.

I added the "Thank you" to the front of the card, between the girl and boy

Sunshine and Good Times

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge. 

Lynn tells us that ... Many of us are experiencing very cold days during late January. Feature on your design something that makes you feel warm and cozy even on the coldest of winter days

It doesn't snow where I live in Australia, so I don't often make winter themed cards. The exception to this is when I am making Christmas cards which I did for 2 to 3 months prior to Christmas, so making a winter card wasn't really something I wanted to do, and I certainly don't want to make a Christmas card until at least July/August of this year.

So when it came to this challenge I had to come up with a creative idea! I figured one way to keep warm even on the coldest winter day, was to do what ducks do ... fly south for the winter LOL! There is also some place to go where it is warmer and you don't have to worry about snow etc ... whether you live in the Northern Hemisphere or Australia. So if you want to be warmer ... go visit a beach where the weather is warmer. It works for me!

To create my card I used Hello Bluebird's Ocean Waves Scene Horizontal die which I have been wanting to use since I got it in September/October, but was too busy making Christmas Cards.

I also used Hello Bluebird's Beach Play stamp set to decorate my card.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Mini Pops Pop-up die set. I used Heffy Doodles Stitched Slimline Trio die set to cut the panels for the inside layers. For the top layer I added sand and clouds to the panel using Honey Bee Stamps Horizon Slimline Borders die set.

I added the bears, sandcastle and a couple of other elements to the card using the Beach Play stamp set.

I added the birthday sentiment to the card using a sentiment from MFT Stamps Drink Up The Sunshine stamp set. This was layered onto a rectangle die cut using Karen Burniston's Long Rectangles - Crosshatch die set. The rectangle was a little longer than I wanted it to be, so I die cut it twice so it could be cut smaller.

Teacher Slimline Flip Frame Pop-up

Today I am sharing another Teacher thank you card, which I have been making for my grandchildren to give to their teachers at the end of the year. For my card today I decided to create a Slimline Pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Flip Frame Pop-up for the pop up portion of the card.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I created my slimline card which is 4 inches x 9 inches when folded.

I used the frame included in the Flip Frame Pop-up die set to create a blackboard. I white embossed the ABC and I 2 3 onto the black portion of the frame.

To decorate my card I added the teacher and some of the images included in the Essentials by Ellen Leading Ladies - Teacher Lady stamp set. 

For the borders of the pattern paper panels on each side of the card, I used one of the Slimline Borders included in Sunny Studio Stamps Slimline Basic Borders die set.

I added a circle to the lower left hand side of the card using the Circles Crosshatch die set. I added the Lawn Fawn Thanks, Teacher Line Border die set, which I cut smaller to fit into the circle. I also added a book and pen to the lower left side of the circle.

On the right hand panel, I added the large apple to which I added a stamped sentiment from Heffy Doodle Stamps Teach Me Words stamp set.

For the front of the card, I added the same pattern paper and Slimline Border die that I used on the inside of the card.

I added two apples which are from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Apple Frames, using the apple from the inside of the frame.

I added the #1 to the top apple which is from an older Papertrey Ink Teacher die set. The teacher on the bottom apple is from Honey Bee Stamps Teacher die set.

 

Teacher Slimline Peekaboo Card

Today I am sharing another Teacher thank you card I created for my grandchildren to give to their teachers at the end of the year.

 I finally received my Whimsy Stamps Slimline die order which had taken about 9 or 10 weeks to get here ... parcels to Australia can take so long now we are living in a pandemic world ... sigh. Of course as I had been waiting so long I had to use one of my dies immediately.

For my card today I have created a Slimline Peekaboo card using Whimsy Stamps Slimline Scallop Peekaboo 1 die set. I die cut the die from red cardstock and then layered patterned paper to the two doors on the front of the card. 

I added ovals to each door which are from Karen Burniston's  Crosshatch Ovals die set. I then added the #1 and teacher die cut sentiments to the card.  The #1 is from an older PTI Wonderful Words Teacher die set and the teacher sentiment is from Heffy Doodle.

I adhered a rectangle panel to the back of the peekaboo panel using patterned paper at the top (for the wall) and woodgrain paper along the bottom of the floor.

This panel was then adhered to a top folding Slimline card which measures 8 5/8 x 3 5/8 inches.

I used stamps from Clearly Besotted's Wise Owl; Picture It Classroom and Being Schooled stamp sets to decorate the inside of the card.

For the inside of the card I created a pop up card using Lawn Fawn's Pop-up Thanks die. I love that this can work in a Slimline card as well as a standard A2 card.

I added a few more of the owls to the back of the card, coloring the books in rainbow order.

I added a patterned paper panel, to both the top and bottom edges of the card, using a border die from Karen Burniston's new Long Nature Edges die set.

To finish off the card, I added a mega oval & scalloped oval to the base of the card, adding a sentiment from Heffy Doodle's Teach Me Words stamp set.

Pile Of Books Teacher Thank You

Well it's about two months until school is over for another year, down here in Australia. So I need to get working on a few teacher thank you cards for my grandchildren's teachers. Teachers all over the world have lots of unusual challenges to overcome to help teacher all those children this year.

As you can see I created a Slimline card, I used Mama Elephant's Slim Film City die set to create the layers of my card.

I masked the edges of the while postage edge panel, and stencilled the centre of the panel using Honey Bee Stamps Perfect Bricks Stencil. I added brown ink to the bottom portion of the card and add some woodgrain using Trinity Stamps Slimline Woodsy Background stamp set.

To decorate my card I used the pile of books from Trinity Stamps Slimline Tall Tales Stamp set and Mama Elephant's School Rules stamp set.

For the inside of my card, I used the same Slimline die set I used on the front of my card.

I added a sentiment to the centre of the card using Heffy Doodle Stamps Teacher die and Teach Me Words Stamp set.

I finished off the card by adding the Owl from the Tall Tales stamp set and the pile of books/apple from the School Rules stamp set.
