Father's Day Shirts

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Vicky Gould our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Father’s Day in the USA falls on June 14th this year.  Make a Father’s Day card.  If, like Vicky, your Father has gone to his heavenly reward, make a masculine card of any type for any man in your life!

Father's Day isn't until September down here in Australia, but as I always need to make a few Father's Day card so my daughters have enough for their needs, it's good to get an early start.

Today I decided to create two shaped cards using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs.

Both cards use the Couture Collection die for the base of both cards. For the shirt above I used the new Everyday Shirt and one of the patterned papers from the new Cool and Casual paper pad. I added the green trim to the centre of the shirt and the shirt pocket for some extra definition.

For the inside of the card I added a strip of the patterned paper along the bottom edge of the card.

I added the sentiment #1 DAD, using Alphabet Caps; Double Stitched Pennants and Double Stitched Circles die sets.

For my second card I used Divinity Designs Suit Jacket die set along with patterned paper from the Menswear Material Paper Pad.

For the inside of the card I added a strip of patterned paper along the bottom edge of the card. I added the Happy Father's Day sentiment which is from the Best Dad Ever stamp set. This was layered using the Double Stitched Ovals and Ovals die sets.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Two great card for two different occasions! One for work and one for play! Although in Florida, I'm sure either one would be appropriate for work!!!
