On Safari!

hanna-Safari-SFYTT-wm

Hi everyone!

Today starts the beginning of the sneak peeks of the new stamps that will be released by Hanna Stamps this coming Monday 3rd August after the release party over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS.

The set I am featuring today is “Safari Hanna” …. this is such a versatile set as it can be used for both male & females and all sorts of occasions. I am sure you will love it to.

My first card uses Hanna dressed in her safari gear looking for all those wild animals. For this card I used the SFYTT from 25th July. The sentiment used here is from DRS Designs.

On The Pier!

DTGD09cindy_haffner-MFT-wm

Hi everyone

My card today is for one of the the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on SCS. I haven’t had much time to play this year but I just had to play in this challenge as my friend Cindy Haffner was hosting the challenge and it was a sketch challenge … love her sketches!

I used the stamp set from the first MFT kit that's available all month called On the Pier. This is actually a rectangle stamp but it still looks good in a circle *smile*. The image was stamped on Perfect Paper Panels with Brilliance Black ink and then colored with copic markers.

Recipe:

Stamps: On The Pier – MFT Stamps

Paper: White Perfect Paper Panel (MFT); Baja Breeze & Tangerine Tango – SU; Offshore Collection DP – Kaisercraft

Other: Black Ink; Circle Nestabilities; Orange Brads; Foam Tape; Copics

Funky Flowers MFT Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and welcome to another MFT Stamps Blog Hop.

Now if you haven't landed on my blog from Kim (MFT Lady's) blog then you might want to stop and hop there first so you can do the blog hop from the very beginning ... this way you don't miss out on anything!

This time round we are featuring two new stamp sets that have just been released called "Funky Flowers"& "Spring Sprouts", both these sets were designed by new illustrator Sara Williams. These are both available now at the MFT Stamps store.

Ok now onto my card! The layout of my card is this months Dirty Dozen sketch, I used my square punches to create all the square layers and stamped 4 of each of the large flowers from the "Funky Flowers" set onto each square. The sentiment in the middle square is from "Can You Dig It". The yellow glittered centres on 4 of my flowers are the brand new "glittered dots & flowers - spring collection".

Well it is now time to leave my blog and go visit my friend Cindy Haffner's blog. Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy our blog hop.

Be My Lovebug!

Hi everyone .... it is time for another Paper Pretties card from me today.

This week I decided to do the Paper Pretties challenge from a week ago PWC31 which was to use the "Love Bug" stamp set and to also use the color combo of red, chocolate & mellow moss. I also used this week's sketch challenge from the December Dirty Dozen gallery.

The red portion of this challenge was easy with this stamp set ... for the chocolate I colored the areas that I would normally color with black ... the ladybugs spots, antenna etc. The mellow moss I used for the leaf and shading that grounds the bugs.

Stamps: Love Bugs - Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip & Mellow Moss - SU
Other: Black Ink; Circle Punches; Scallop Circle Punches; Red Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

Your Wish is My Desire!

Hi there ... not long now till the release of the new Hanna stamps ... as we are in the middle of the release party as this posts! This stamp set which is called "I dream of Jeannie" will be released by Hanna Stamps today.

My card is for one of the Release Party challenges that are happening right now over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS. My challenge is "In the Pink" and you had to use the color pink in your card and also to include brads.

I used this months Fan Club/Dirty Dozen sketch challenges from SCS to create my card. You probably can't see it on the photo but I colored over the trouser/leg area using my clear spica pen to give it a sparkly feel so it looks like sheer material covering her legs.

Paper: White; Black; Regal Rose & Pink Pirouette - SU
Other: Black Ink; Pink Pirouette SU Ink; Pink Brads; Clear Spica Pen; Copics

Friendship is one of life's greatest gifts!

"Friendship is one of life's greatest gifts" .... isn't that a wonderful sentiment and how very true. I value all my friendships!

I have made some wonderful friendships due to the internet, SCS and blogging. As you all know my CCEE Stamping friends and I do a challenge every Monday, this week our challenge is a supply challenge and this month it was Carolyn King's turn to send us the supplies.

Carolyn sent us all her wonderful Whimsical Autumn set that she designed and was released earlier in the month by Gina K Designs. Carolyn is donating 100% of her proceeds from this set to the Alzheimer's Association.

Our challenge this week was to create a Thanksgiving card/Fall themed card using any combination of stamps and whatever else we wanted to use and then send the card to someone in your life to let them know you are thankful for him/her.

I combined the CCEE challenge with this months Dirty Dozen sketch challenge that was posted to SCS last week.

Don't forget to check out our CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of the cards the girls made.

Hanna Cafe au Lait!

Happy Monday to you all, of course being Monday means it is time for another challenge I do with my goofy CCEE friends.

As it is the last Monday of the month that also means that the challenge we do is a supply challenge. A couple of months ago Deb sent all of the CCEE girls a wonderful parcel of ribbons, inside this parcel there was a special bag filled with an assortment of fancy ribbons. Deb instructed us to use something from inside that bag to create our card. We were orginally supposed to do this challenge 2 months ago but due to other commitments by some of the other CCEE members we decided to postpone it until now.

I picked out the purple with green polka dot ribbon for my card ... this is a little out of the box for me as I do tend to go for plainer ribbon most times. And pairing that with this stripe DP well that is way over the top for me ... but my DD assures me it is in fashion to use stripes & dots together so here goes!

Don't forgot to check out our CCEE Stampers blog to see the rest of my friends cards. You can also play along if you like, details are on our blog.

Of course I am still madly trying to get all those Dare to Get Dirty challenges done over on SCS ... I only have a few left to do .... again I used one of the DTGD challenges for this card ... this is Natasha's sketch challenge.

Tomorrow I will start giving you all a sneak peek of the new Hanna Stamps sets that will be released on Friday 1st August ... so don't forget to check them out.

Silhoutte Owl!

Hope you are all having a great weekend, I know I am as I am getting lots of time to play the Dare to Get Dirty challenges on SCS. On Saturday and Sunday there are 4 challenges each day.

My card today combines three of the DTGD challenges ... the first is Joan's silhouette challenge. I decided to go with this Inkadinkadoo Owl ... after all it has been a while since I have used an owl (at least 2 weeks LOL!)

The second challenge used here is Jen's DTGD sketch challenge, for some reason I flipped the sketch .... I guess when I printed it out it turned it around and I didn't go back and look at Jen's version online again. But I like it flipped anyway.

The third challenge was Laura's "Get Dirty" challenge ... I sponged ink around my owl panel to create a distress look to that piece. I also used my distressed stripes cuttlebug embossing folder to add texture to my river rock card andthen I sponged the raised areas with ink too, again to get a distress look.

I added the spiral clips to both ends of my ribbon for something a little different.

Recipe: Stamps: Owl - Inkadinkadoo
Paper: White; Black; River Rock & True Thyme - SU; DP - Heidi Grace
Other: Black Ink; River Rock & True Thyme SU Ink; Distressed Stripes Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Brads; Spiral Clips; Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape
