Witching You A Happy Halloween

CCEE1343-WitchesLegs-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Anne Harmon our challenge hostess for October continues to bring us fun challenges.

This week Anne has challenged us to make a non-traditional card for Halloween (NO orange, black, green, or purple).

I really wanted to play with my new Halloween dies I purchased from Taylored Expression recently so I decided to use “The Witch is In” die set to create my card today. Not being able to use the normal Halloween colors I decided to go with Grey and Pink with a touch of blue.

I think the Witch was too busy showing off her grey & pink tights that she forgot to pay attention where she was going and landed head first into the snow … oops!

CCEE1343-WitchesLegs2-wm

Here is the inside of my card … I added another pair of legs from the die set and added a sentiment and some bats.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Witch Sophia (sentiments) – Paper Pretties

Celebrate The Season

CHF Village Christmas wm

Hi everyone,

Have you heard the news!

Cornish Heritage Farms is, once again, offering Thomas Kinkade stamps! We have 9 beautiful images up NOW on our website with more to come in the next few months.

During the last few months, we have had an overwhelming number of requests to release Thomas Kinkade in cling - and we listened! The new Thomas Kinkade stamps are the same super high quality, deeply etched red rubber stamps that you have become accustomed to, with one slight difference - they are now being offered on CLING mounting!

My card today uses the Thomas Kinkade Village Christmas stamp, this is such a beautiful stamp as are all the Thomas Kinkade range. The image is stamped on white card using green ink and then covered with vellum which has the sentiment stamped on it. Giving the image a softish look.

Stamps: Thomas Kinkade Village Christmas – Cornish Heritage Farms
Paper: White; Vellum; Green; Pale Green; Burgundy
Other: Black Ink; Green Ink; Eyelets; Swiss Dots Cuttlebug Embossing Folder; Ribbon; Foam Tape.

For A Boy Who’s 3!

CCEE1220 BirthdayBoy wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess for May, Charlene Merrick brings us another fun challenge.

This week’s challenge is a technique challenge …. vellum embossing – use either heat or dry embossing on your vellum.

For my card this week I used a few La La Land stamp sets, Heart Balloon Luka who also comes with presents and the Brick wall. When I was searching through my vellum box to work out what I was going to do for this challenge I discovered the blue adhesive vellum which I have had for years …. one piece was already embossed with the numbers embossing folder, obviously I had been thinking of doing something with it some time back and then changed my mind. Well now I have a Grandson I figured it would be ideal for a birthday card. I also had the white card base sitting on my desk with the acetate opening as I had been playing with that technique a week or two ago so I decided both would make a fun birthday card.

Now I have to say my Grandson isn’t even 2 yet … he will be at the end of this month, but I already have plenty of boy 2 year old cards so I am getting in an earlier start for next year. I will need some for Christmas when I give my cards away to family and friends.

CCEE1220 BirthdayBoy2 wm

Here is the inside of my card, very simple. The vertical Happy Birthday shows through the acetate on the front of the card and I added more of the blue vellum to match that on the front.

Don’t forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Stamps: Heart Balloon Luka; Brick Wall – La La Land Crafts; Little Boy Who’s 3 From Make A Wish – Paper Pretties; Vertical Happy Birthday – Lucy’s Stamps
Paper: White; Blue Vellum
Other: Black Ink; Spellbinders Ribbon Banner Die; So Trendy M-Bossabilities; Cuttlebug Numbers Embossing Folder; Foam Tape; Copics

PP-Basketball1-wm

To start off the Pretties Peeks, the design team are showcasing the Basketball Boy stamp set that is being released.

I love making shaped cards and as I had just received my grand nestabilities circle dies I decided to create a basketball shaped cards. I have made these before but until now they had to be small! So that I could emboss the orange portion of my ball I drew lines on the circle to represent the lines of a basketball and then cut around them and attached it to my card after I had embossed them with the cuttlebug tiny bubbles embossing folder.

PP-Basketball2-wm

For the inside of my card I stamped the basketball which is included in the stamp set three times, I cut these out and attached to the inside circle. I also added a sentiment.

Stamps: Basketball Boy – Paper Pretties
Paper: White; Black; Orange
Other: Black Ink; Grand Circle Nestabilities Die; Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles Embossing Folder; Foam Tape; Copics

Fred Bear Plays Indians!

MFT IndianBear wm

Hi everyone,

It’s that time again when the MFT Stamps designs team begins showing our MFTeasers in preparation of the new stamps which will be released by MFT Stamps after the release party this coming Tuesday 3rd May.

Today the Design Team are featuring three of the new stamps to be released. These are “ Fred Bear Plays Indian”; “Flapper Doodles – SS Flapper” and “Well Worn Greetings”.

MFT IndianBear2 wm

For my project today I decided to create a 3 D scene. I thought Indian Fred Bear needed a playmate so I also used Fred Bear goes Camping, I stamped the headpiece again on white card and added that to my other bear so they both looked like Indians.

I used a number of MFT Die-namics on this scene, these include:

FreshCutGrass

MFT_TearDropTree_DieOnly_PreviewGraphic

MFT IndianBear3-wm

It’s also time for another MFT Guest Designer Contest. This month Jody Morrow and I are hosting the challenge. Would you like to win over $125 in prizes and be the guest designer for the MFT June release. You will find the details over on the MFT Forum.

This isn’t what I had originally planned for my sample for the challenge, but due to Easter & Anzac Day holidays down here the stamps I was going to use were delayed. So I had to make the theme which is Blue Jeans & Bling …. fit with this project. I had some blue jeans designer paper so I used that to die cut the MFT Die-namics star border on the tepee. And also the clothe & head piece Indian Fred is wearing. For the bling I used rhinestones on the MFT Die-namics Open Zigzag border on the tepee.

Here is a close up of Fred Bear … isn’t he the cutest!!!!!!!!
