Trick or Treat!

HSC92-Candy-Corn-Goth-wm

Hi everyone

It is Friday again which means it is challenge time for Hanna Stamps over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS. This week it is Kerry Donovan-Casey’s turn to host the challenge (HSC92). Kerry’s challenge is “Spooky Somethings” a Halloween Cut Out Card i.e. in a shape of a pumpkin, haunted house etc.

As you can see my card is in the shape of a Candy Corn … that is very Halloweenish I think hehe. I cut out my shape from white card and then used my copic airbrush to add the yellow and orange colors to my card. I stamps Goth Riley, cut him out and attached him to my card using foam tape. I also used the sentiment & bat from the Trick or Treat Scarecrow set.

Paper: White

An Aware Detective!

HSC91-Aware-Detective-wm

Hi everyone and happy Friday, I am sure you are all looking forward to the weekend!

It is challenge time for Hanna Stamps over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS. This week it is Sandra MacLean’s turn to host the challenge (HSC91). Sandra challenge us to pick an obscure October Holiday from the list she provided and create a card. I decided to go with “Awareness Month”.

I figured that Detective Riley had to be pretty “Aware” to figure out all those clues to solve whatever it is he is solving LOL.

I used the fleur de lis cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background of my card and also the fleur de lis borderabilities for the panel on the bottom of my card.

Don't forget there is still time to sign up for our first ever "Hanna Fans" blog hop which will be happening on Monday 19th October.

Trick or Treat?

HSC90-Trick-or-Treat1-wm
Hi everyone!
It is time for another Hanna Stamps Friday challenge over on the Hanna Stamps Member Forum of SCS. This week Cindy Haffner is hosting the chalelnge which is a Trick or Treat challenge to create something to holds treats (toppers, boxes, bags etc…)
I decided to use my sizzix matchbox die to create my treat box for this challenge. I covered the top of the box with designer paper and then used the question marker image that is included in the new Detective Hanna set that was released earlier in the week for the top of my box. I wonder what is in the box????????
HSC90-Trick-or-Treat-wm Well it isn’t a secret anymore. Halloween candy of course … my DD found these cute colored bones and liquorice lollies on her travels and got me some as she knew I could use it for one of my projects.

Why not take a look and play, because you could be the recipient of a $20 gift voucher and 1 unmounted stamp of your choice, sound good! Head on over to the Hanna Stamps Member Forum for more details.

Did you know that October 3rd is World Card Making Day?

OCC-Hanna-In-Color-wm

Hi everyone!

It’s Saturday which means it is time for another OCC challenge over on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week Loretta our August challenge hostess challenged us to create a card with our favorite color combo using the new Stampin’ Up “In Colors”. Thanks to Silke Ledlow who sent me a some of the new in colors so I could play along as those colors aren’t available in Australia. This will actually be the last challenge I will be playing as part of the OCC design team, it has been fun but now it is time to move on.

For my card I used the vase of flowers from the Hanna Stamps “Painter Hanna” that was release earlier in the month.

I also combined two other challenges with this card … first up this week’s Hanna Stamps challenge hosted by Silke Kittmann which was to include dew drops on our card. My dewdrops are in the centres of all my flowers …. it is pretty hard to see them in the photo because they are clear but I promise they are there! The other challenge I used for this is Taylors of Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge … this is TECC75.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the OCC Designers cards over on the OCC Blog.

Cyber Hanna!

hanna-HSJULYNSC-Cyber-wm

Hi everyone!

I have two more sneak peeks of the new stamps that are to be released by Hanna Stamps after the release party this coming Monday 6th July. This time round I am using the new “Cyber Hanna” set.

For my first card I use only part of the main image from the set and used a recent sketch from Paper Crafts Planet. The background paper is from the DCWV Alphabet stack, I remember that I hmmmed & haaaed when I was thinking of getting this particular stack as it is all black and white DP but I am glad I did as I have been using this a fair bit.

Hanna-cyber-notebook-wm

I decided to also make a note book using this set … I can use this to keep my passwords or anything I might need that is computer related. There is always something I need to keep note of that I find online.

Recipe:

Stamps: Cyber Hanna – Hanna Stamps

Paper: White; Black; Regal Rose & DP - SU; Alphabet Stack DP - DCWV

You’re #1

hanna-soccer-hinge-wm

Happy Saturday everyone, hope you are enjoying your weekend.

My card today is for two challenges ... first up it is for this week's Hanna Stamps Friday challenge over on the Hanna Stamps member forums of SCS. This week Sandra MacLean is hosting the challenge and her challenge is a 4th of July Tribute to create a card with a star(s) and stripes on it.

The Our Creative Corner challenge this week was also "All About Stars" so of course I combined my card for both challenges.

I used Soccer Riley that was released by Hanna Stamps earlier in the month, to create a Hinge card. The stars of course is the star designer paper that I used for the bottom of my card and of course the star that I stamped my sentiment onto. The stripes are the distressed stripes I added to the red portion of my card using the Distress stripes cuttlebug embossing folder.

I used a soccer ball brad as the hinge so that the top portion of my card could be opened.

Here is my card when I open up the top portion.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the OCC Designers cards over on the OCC Blog.
