Hello

GreenButterflyPivot-wm

Hi everyone,

I have a Butterfly Pivot card to share with you today, which I made recently for a demo I was doing earlier in the month. This card uses the Butterfly Pivot Card designed by designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

This is the first time I have used Shimmer Sheetz and I love the look of it. Here I used the Yellow Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz to decorate my card. First I used it to die cut the butterfly and I also embossed with an embossing folder and then sanded the embossed areas so the white core shows through and adhered it to the edge of my card.

The “Hello” is also a die available from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is the inside of my card. As you can see I added the Yellow Iridescent Shimmer Sheetz again to both edges of my card as I did on the front.

The “Best Wishes”  is a die available from Elizabeth Craft Designs

And finally a view from the back of my card.

Cheers!

Riley0514Cheers-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This time round it is my turn to host the challenge.

Apparently the first public basketball game was played on the 11th March in 1892. So for our challenge today create a card with a sporting theme, it doesn't have to be basketball.

Riley0514Cheers2-wm

For my card today I used Riley and Company’s Basketball Riley and Cheerleader Sophie to create a Pivot card using the Katie Label Pivot Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The sentiments used on this card are computer generated

And here is the view of my card from the back … you can see Riley attempting to take a goal Smile.

    Beautiful Wishes

    JackiesDollsAccordion-wm

    Hi everyone,

Today I have another accordion card to share with you using the Oval Accordion Card set designed by Karen Burniston’s for Elizabeth Crafts Designs.

This is my first time at using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-Off Stickers, I have always resisted stickers in the past … but I have to say I love these stickers and can’t wait to get some more to play with. The ones I have used on my card today are called Jackie’s Dolls in Oval.

    JackiesDollsAccordion3-wm

I love how the oval shape of the peel-off stickers matches the largest accessory oval from the Oval Accordion Card set. It made it so much easier to use.

. I actually created this card prior to my Elizabeth Craft Designs goodies arrived in the mail on Friday, so it is just mounted to card and colored with copics. Now I have my  Warm Diamond and Cool Diamond  Silk Mircofine Glitters, the next time I play with the peel-offs I will definitely be trying coloring on the glitter .. it is such a fun look.

    JackiesDollsAccordion4-wm

I have decorated the frames of the accordion card using the Oval Dots Frame Edges … I think these are my favorite edges, but you probably guessed that already hehe!

And here is the view from the front of my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope for mailing.

    Candle Birthday

    CandleBday1-wm

    Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I was asked to join the Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team which I am super excited about. Yesterday my Design Team parcel arrived with an array of wonderful products inside … Dies; Silk Microfine Glitters; Shimmer Sheetz; Peel-Off Sticker Sheets etc. Wow it was amazing.

Of course I wanted to play so today I decided to play with the Candle; Gifts and Happy Birthday dies which were included in the parcel to create this pop up card.

For anyone who lives in the Brisbane area in Australia, I will have this card on display at the demo I am giving today at Photo Continental as part of their Silly Sunday event … so if you are local come on along you won’t be sorry. I will be demoing Karen Burniston’s Pop It Up dies and Elizabeth Craft Design products.

    CandleBday2-wm

For my pop up card I used the Lots of Pops Pop-Up die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs for my card base.

I created the fancy edge at the top and bottom of my card by using one of the edges from the Agatha Edges die set and then decorated the edges by adding the flourish from this same set underneath the edge.

The sentiment has been added to one of the labels from the Katie Label Die set.

    CandleBday4-wm

For the candles and gift I decided to use some of the wonderful Silk Microfine Glitters which I received. I die cut the candles and gift using some of the double sided adhesive papers and then used various colored glitters: Warm Diamond; Solar Gold; True Red; Peony Pink; Lavender; Soft Teal and Spring Peridot.

    CandleBday3-wm

Here is a side view of the inside of my pop up card.

    CandleBday

For the front I kept it fairly simple seeing the focus is on the inside, but I couldn’t resist playing with the candles and the Silk Microfine Glitters again, I kept the colors the same as the candles on the inside.

Here are the products I used on my card today:

Paper: Cream; Red; It’s A Celebration DP – Crate Paper

The Stamps of Life March Club Set Release

    TSOLCrazyCircleflipits-wm_thumb[3]

    Hi everyone,

Being the beginning of the month it is time for the March Club Stamp set to be released from The Stamps of Life. This time round the stamp set being released is called Crazy4daisies. If you are a member of the “Die Hard” club you will also receive the coordinating die set, otherwise you have to wait until the 20th of the month to order this set.

This set is such a fun stamp set and contains two daisy stamps ,.. one large and one smaller. It petals for each of the daisies in a fun polka dot pattern and also a solid petal; two tiny daisies and a number of sentiments.

    TSOLCrazyCircleflipits2-wm_thumb[2]

For my first card today I used the smaller of the daisies and the polka dot petal to create a flip-its card. This card is made using the Sizzix Circle Flip-Its #2 Framelits set.

On the “flip” side of the centre panel I added a birthday greeting and the tiny daisy.

    TSOLCrazyHello-wm_thumb[2]

For my second card today I used the larger daisy die to die cut my orange card so part of the flower is cut off. I used the Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Dots, Zigzags Embossing Folder. I stamped the smaller daisy onto white card and then used the smaller die to die cut it and added the daisy to the centre of the larger daisy cut out.

     TSOLThanksBunch-wm_thumb[2]

For my final card today I have used the larger daisy again to create a thank you card.

Stamps: Crazy4Daises – The Stamps of Life
Other: Black Ink; TSOL Crazy4Daisies Die set; Sizzix/Stephanie Barnard Dots, Zigzags Embossing Folder; Sizzix Circle Flip its #2 Framelits; Foam Tape;  Copics

    A Special Treat!

    C4C225SweetTreat-wm

    Hello everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Being a brand new month, it is time for a new challenge hostess which is Kelli Hull.

Kelli says that according to Pantone, Radiant Orchid is the IT color this year. So for our challenge this week Kelli has challenged us to use the color Radiant Orchid (or close to it) along with grey and white when creating out cards.

For my card today I decided to use Karen Burniston's Heart Pivot Card die from her Pop it Ups line for Elizabeth Craft Designs. Hearts aren’t just for valentines day etc … you can use them any time!!!

I used grey as my base of my card but covered the front with a orchid colored designer paper. Along the right edge of my card I used the Agatha Edges die set to create the shaped edge and the flourish embellishment I also added to my card.

    C4C225SweetTreat2-wm

For the inside, I added the same paper I used on the front of my card along the bottom of my card and also added thin white tape along the top.

For the hearts I used some of the coordinating dies also included in the Heart Pivot card die set embossing the orchid hearts using Karen’s Sizzix Swirls Embossing Folder.

The sentiments are two which are included with the image I used on this card. I die cut one of the labels from the Lucy Label Pop-Up die set and then threaded the die cut in the die so that only one edge would be cut and put it back through my die cutter. I did the same on the other side so it was even and then stamped my sentiments.

    C4C225SweetTreat3-wm

On the left side of my card I cut another label from the Lucy Label Pop-Up die set (this is actually the same size as the other two labels before I cut them down using the die.

    C4C225SweetTreat4-wm

I added Art Impressions Cupcake BFFs to the right side of my card.

    C4C225SweetTreat5-wm

And finally the back of my card. As you can see I didn’t use designer paper on this part … it doesn’t need it seeing it is the back! But you can see how you can see the decorated heart and sentiment when the card is closed.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
