It’s OCC challenge time over on the Our Creative Corner Blog. This week Loretta our August challenge hostess has given us a inspiration challenge, using some Harvest paintings by artist Lowell Herrero that can be found here.
I used the fall colors from the paintings and used those to create my card today using one of the images from the Safari Hanna set that was released earlier in the week. This is probably my fav out of all the cards I have created using this set so far.… I love the colors! When I first looked at this set I thought that this image was just the tree … but then I stamped it out in readiness to prepare some samples and I discovered the elephants too …. hmmmm wish I had of made this card a few weeks ago … my sister would have liked this for her birthday I am sure cause she collects elephants. Maybe next year LOL!
I brayed the background of the main image panel using autumn leaves kaliedacolor ink pad and then stamped the image using black ink. The 2 orange panels either side of the image is actually one circle cut in half and attached to the side of the image … I also used my fav sizzix texture plate to add texture to the panels.
Don't forget to check out the rest of the OCC Designers cards over on the OCC Blog.
