Hi everyone,
A couple of weeks ago I posted a Pop n Cuts Flying Easel Card which was inspired by one Karen Burniston created her classes for the UStamp with Dawn and Friends: Cards With Cool Moves online classes. You can see my card here.
Karen saw my card and left a comment asking if I could make one using a snowflake … well I always like a challenge so added that to my to do list. My card today is the result!
This card uses Karen’s SU Exclusive Pop N Cuts Card Base and also the Sizzix Funky Labels Framelits.
I wanted to keep my snowflake 3D just like I had the tree in my previous card … but it was a lot harder to do as it has such intricate pieces to it. It didn’t help that I used white and silver glitter papers which made it harder to work with … but I got there. I have used a snowflake die and a snowflake punch and also a rhinestone. I die cut 4 of each and folded the snowflakes in half so they could be attached to each other.
A friend recently gave me some of the new SU Winter Frost designer papers to play with which is what I used for this card.
I added a few more snowflakes to the base and some icicles under my sentiment.
Here is my card when it is folded closed … the Snowflake can be folded flat so it will be suitable to be placed in an envelope to be mailed if needed.
