Tree-mendous Day!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Danielle Lounds, our challenge hostess for the month finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Danielle says that she is a big fan of trees and over the last handful of years she has planted 6 apple trees around my house. My challenge to you is to plant a tree, er, well, just include a tree or branch on your project. That might be easier. ;)

Sometimes you get an idea in your head and you can't let go of it until that idea is all stamped out and your card complete. My card today was one of those times. I had all the pieces die cut and colored and then my DH came in to ask are we going out for dinner .... hmmm do I have to ... but I did. I came home sat with him for a bit, then came back to my desk and finished off my card. I think I planted a forest for this card haha!

The base of my card uses the Rectangle Pull Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I think this is the third time I have made this style of card this week ... I can't stop using it :).  This card is a lot wider than most of the Pull Cards I make, it started out 12 inches wide, folded in half and die cut the Pull Card and then trimmed off any excess edges I didn't want ... when fully opened this card measures 11 inches.

Here is my card when it is 'pulled' open. I used a stamp/die set from Stampendous to decorate my card. The sentiment is computer generated.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
