So Very Happy For You

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Raquel Mason our challenge hostess for the month finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Raquel says .... It's now fall and I know this because I see it on my calendar even thought you wouldn't know it in Florida. Let’s put leaves, or trees with beautiful fall colors, or anything that says fall to you on our cards this week.

Of course where I live it isn't fall/autumn .... it's actually Spring! However who can resist creating a card using fall colors and playing with fall themed stamps and dies.

For my card today I have again been playing with the new Alcohol Lift Ink ... these are lots of fun and can create some beautiful backgrounds on your alcohol inked backgrounds.

To create my background I applied Sunshine Yellow, Citrus and Meadow Alcohol Inks onto Yupo paper. Once the inks were dry and then used the Concord and 9th Thankful Leaves Turnabout stamp set to stamp onto the background using the Alcohol Lift Ink.

I added a sentiment from the same stamp set using brown ink and then added leaves from Karen Burniston's new Autumn Elements die set.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using pop-up die from Karen Burniston's new Explosion Pop-up die set. I added rectangle panels to the pop-up panel using the Crosshatch Rectangles die set.

Along the top and bottom edges of the card I added a panel created using the Alcohol Ink Lift Technique the same as I used on the front of the card.

To finish off the card I added some leaves from the Autumn Elements die set.

Here is another view of my card taken at a different angle so you can see the pop-up part of the card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
