Christmas Crackers

Hi Crafty Friends,

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful day yesterday!

Each year for the past forty odd years or so I have been creating my own Christmas crackers to use on Christmas Day.

This year I have again used the Tonic Studios Christmas Cracker Treat Box die set to create the actual crackers. This time around rather than using the decorative dies included in the die set to decorate my crackers I used the diamond pieces that are the negative pieces that are normally thrown out after die cutting the crackers.

This year I only needed to make seven crackers, and not adding all the decorative layers to the dies did make it a lot less time consuming to create. I like how they turned out.

This year I have gone with the traditional colors of red and green for my crackers ... if the cracker itself was red I made the trees green ... except for the gold tree that needed to be different to help me know who was getting which crackers.

To decorate my crackers I used the Christmas Tree from Karen Burniston's Christmas Tree Pop Stand die set.

This year the red crackers were for the girls and the green crackers were for the boys.

One last close up photo of the crackers.

I love seeing the crackers you make each year. Love the pop-up tree on these ones.
