I Sea It's Your Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing an "Under the Sea"  themed Wiper Card using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 6in x 6 in Square Pop-up Wiper Card die set.

I used papers from Made To Surprise's Under the Sea Paper Pad to decorate the base of the card.

I used the Clam Shell die from Whimsy Stamps to add the clam to the lower left hand side of the card.

The mermaids and sea animals are all from Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful Mermaids stamp set.

When you pull the sides of the card, it reveals the mermaid coming out of the top of the card. The mermaid is attached to a clear acetate wiper mechanism using one of the dies included in the Wiper Card die set.

I have added a white panel to the back of the card, so that I could add a sentiment and write a personal greeting to whoever ends up receiving this.

I added one more of the mermaids to the left edge of the card.

Along the bottom of the panel I added one of the Washi strips from the Made To Surprise Under the Sea Washi Tape pack. Above the Washi tape, I added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment which was created using a die included in the Wiper Card die set.

The "Swimming By" Sentiment and fish are both from the Under the Sea Sentiment stamp set, also from Made to Surprise.

STAMPtember - Riley and Company

Hi Crafty Friends,

As many of you probably know this month is "STAMPtember" over on Simon Says Stamp. During this month Simon Says Stamp collaborates with other stamp manufacturers to bring you special limited edition collaboration sets. These sets are only available through Simon Says Stamp and as they are limited edition, once they are sold out, they are not available anymore. STAMPtember stamps are only available for the month of September.

Available now from Simon Says Stamp is today's STAMPtember Limited Edition Collaboration set from Riley and Company. You can purchase either the exclusive stamp set or the exclusive stamp and die set for a limited time, while supplies last.  The exclusive collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can.

I was excited to see "Riley" featured again in this years STAMPtember, especially since I have been involved with Riley since he first made his debut many years ago. Like previous years Riley is with his friend Simon (from Simon Says Stamp).

I love that the sign the Riley and Simon are holding is blank so that your can stamp
either the sentiments included in the stamp set or any other that you may already have to suit any occasion.

I created a pop up card using Karen Burniston's Label Charm Pop-up card die set. I stamped out some of the balloons, a sentiment and party hats also included in the stamp set to decorate the card.

Love You Dad

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a male themed card to share with you today, using products from Pinkfresh Studio and The Greetery.

For the background of the card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Geo Tiles Hot Foil Plate and coordinating stencils. I foiled the background using Spellbinders Aura foil, and then used the stencils to aadd ink to the panel using inks from Catherine Pooler Designs. I layered the panel onto a top folding card which is slightly bigger than an A2 card.

I added the "love you Dad" sentiment which is from The Greetery's Dad Squared stamp and coordinating die sets.

To finish off the front of my card I added metallic pearls around the sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I used the stencils again to create a background on a strip of cardstock. I then used the coordinating Geo Tiles die set which I did cut from gold mirror cardstock and layered over the background. I added the piece to then lower portion of the card.

I added the :You're the Best" sentiment using a die from Simon Says Stamp.

You're the Best Polygon

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a slimline card I created recently.

To create the background of my card I used Honey Bee Stamps Polygon Thin Frames die, using the die to die cut shapes from 6 different colors. I then assembled each of the polygons, alternating the order of each of the pieces. I adhered the polygons to the front panel of a slimline card, trimming off any over hanging edges. I was able to used one polygon to add the half polygon panels along the top and bottom of the card.

I didn't want to cover up the background too much, so I kept this simple and just added the sentiment which is from Simon Says Stamp.

To create the border along the bottom of the inside of the card, I had to die cut a couple more panels so I had enough to cut in half and adhere along the bottom edge.

I added the "Big Hugs" sentiment which is from Picket Fence Studios' Big Happy Hugs Word Die.

Hello Flowers

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a floral Slimline card I created.

This card was mostly created using a stencil from Simon Says Stamp's Slimline Floral Builder stencil. This stencil includes the lawn, the cloud builder and flowers. I used Distress Oxide inks in various colors to create my floral scene.

I used one of the rectangle slimline dies from Spellbinders Slimline Hemstitch die set to die cut the floral panel. I then used the larger slimline dies included in the die set to die cut the pink panel which I layered onto a top folding slimline card base.

I stamped butterflies onto my card using a solid butterfly stamp from Lawn Fawn's Mom + Me stamp set.

For the sentiment I used Pinkfresh Studio's Perfect Sentiments - Birthday Hot Foil Stamp & coordinating die to add the "Hello" which is foiled using black foil.

For the inside of the card, I added the "Thinking of You" sentiment using Honey Bee Stamps Thinking of You Big Time stamp set and coordinating dies.

I added the grass and some flowers along the bottom of the card.

Just A Note

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lois Bak our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

September is also Classical Music Month. Create a card with a musical theme. It doesn’t have to be classical music. It could be Jazz, Country, Rock 'n Roll - anything musical, even a musical instrument.

Simon Says Stamp recently released a Xylophone die set, not having one in my stash I decided I needed to buy one. You never know when you might want something beginning with "X". I die cut the frame of the xylophone from gold mirror cardstock and the bars that are on the top of the xylophone from white cardstock and colored them the colors of the rainbow.

To make sure I got the frame at the correct angle, I used the die as a guide and placed the pieces on top.

The white rectangle panel is from Spellbinders' Slimline Hemstitch die set. I added the "Just A Note" sentiment which is from Honey Bee Stamps Rockstar Sentiments stamp set.

The music note is from an older MFT Stamps die set.

For the music background on my top folding slimline card, I used CC Designs Music Border die set.

For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label pop up die set.

I used Poppy Stamps Happy Birthday Melody die for the sentiment which is layered using Spellbinders' Elongated Ovals and Elongated Scalloped Ovals die sets.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

You're the Best

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created recently.

To create the slimline portion of the card I used Spellbinders Hemstitch Slimline die set. I die cut the smaller of the two panels from white cardstock and the larger one from red. I also die cut both a second time from black cards which is layered under the main panels so the black shows through the stitching.

I used Simon Says Stamps "I Love Small Dots" stencil to add a rainbow dotted background to the white panel.  After adding the dots with the stencil I then used the same inks to cover the whole panel.

I used Simon Says Stamp's You're the Best sentiment die to add the sentiment to the card. To finish off the card I added clear half circle gems to the front panel.

For the inside of my card I die cut the small panel again from white and black cardstock, as I did on the front of the card. I then layered this to a white rectangle panel.

I added two sentiments from Honey Bee Stamps Pickup Lines stamp set.

You can purchase either the  I Like You stamp set or the I Like You stamp and die set for a limited time, while supplies last.  The exclusive collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can.

I was excited to see "Riley" featured again in this years STAMPtember, especially since I have been involved with Riley since he first made his debut many years ago. Like last year Riley is with his friend Simon (from Simon Says Stamp).

I created an autumn themed pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Garden Bench Pop up die set.  To complete my scene I used the grass die from the Long Nature Edges die set which I added to the bottom edge of the card and also long the fold on the back panel.

For the trees I used the trunk and branches from the Tiny Trees Pop-up die set. The trunk does have a cut in it, to allow it to be used to make a 3D tree, so I placed my top cutting plate just above that so this part of the trunk didn't cut. This also allowed me to make the bottom of the trunk a little longer. The leaf on the pillows is also from the Tiny Trees Pop-up die set.

I die cut a rectangle panel using the Crosshatch Rectangles die set, which I placed to the right at the bottom edge of the card. This gives me a place to write a handwritten greeting.

For the sentiment, I stamped it onto white cardstock and then cut the rectangle panel and layered it onto rust cardstock.

For the front of the card, I added the two patterned papers I used on the inside of the card.

I stamped the Riley/Simon image again on white cardstock and die cut that and the rust oval using dies from the Crosshatch Ovals die set.

I added the Hi sentiment which I die cut using the sun from the Landscape Scene die set and a circle from the Crosshatch Circles die set.

Mermaid Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

t’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Ostergard our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off her month with one last challenge.

Being the third Saturday of the month, it's time for a Sketch Challenge.

For the challenge today I decided to use stretch the sketch to create a Slimline card. The last few months I seem to have created a few mermaid themed card, but when I was looking through my stash to find a thin tall image, this mermaid was the first I found so decided to use that.

I have again used papers from the Craft Consortium's Ink Drops - Vivid 12 x 12 Paper Pad.

The mermaid stamp is from Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful Mermaid stamp set. for the sentiment I used the Honey Bee Stamps Mermaid Song stamp set.

I used a stitched rectangle slimline die from Picket Fence Studios Slimline Nested Rectangles die set.

For the inside of the card, I used Whimsy Stamps Slimline Zig Zag Edger die set to add the border along both edges of the card.

I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

The mermaid and sentiment are from from Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful Mermaid stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Floral With Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Unfortunately I needed a sympathy card to send to friends recently, so I created this Slimline card.

To create my card I used the flower frame from Simon Says Stamp's Slimline Floral stamp set. This was layered onto a Slimline rectangle panel using Trinity Stamps Slimline Quilted Cover die which I die cut from purple cardstock.

For the sentiment I used the "With Sympathy" die set from Karen Burniston.

For the inside of my card I used the floral border using the same Simon Says Stamp set used on the front of the card.

I added two sentiments using sentiments from Altenew's In My Thoughts stamp set.
