Stop and Smell the Blossoms

Hi Crafty friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created using stamps/dies from Hero Art's March My Monthly Hero kit. I finally received my kit this week after it being delayed due to COVID19 lockdowns. As I had been waiting so long for it, I had to have a play with it!

I wanted to create something different to what has already been created by everyone else who purchased the kit, so I decided to make a Slimline card. I had to stamp the grass area twice along the length of the card and disguised the join reasonably well, but in the end I need not have bother as I ended up adding a second tree which covers the join completely.

I used one of the dies from Trinity Designs Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set, to die cut the base panel after I had stamped the grass. I wanted to add a black layer behind the panel so used the rectangle die from LDRS Creative Slim Line Scallop die set for this layer. The layers are adhered to a 3 1/2 inch x 8 1/2 inch top folding card.

I stamped the trees and oriental ornaments and used the coordinating dies to die cut the images. I added one of the sentiments included in the stamp set to the top right hand corner of the card.

For the inside of the card I die cut the same slimline panels I used on the front of the card. I stamped the tree and ornament directly to the card. I also added another of the sentiments included in the stamp set.
