To A Fabulous Teacher

Hi Crafty Friends,

A few weeks ago a friend posted a teacher thank you slimline card on her blog. This reminded me that I hadn't made any teacher cards yet this year for my grandchildren to use for their teachers at the end of the year. We are already midway through the year so I figured I should make a start. I also created a Slimline card.

I used Trinity Stamps Slim Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set to create the Slimline portion of the card.

The pencils along the bottom of the card are stamping using Taylored Expressions Create in Color Background stamp. I stamped this twice along the bottom of the slimline panel and then colored using rainbow colors. I added extra colors to my rainbow so that it extended the color range.

I used Heffy Doodle's Teach Me Words stamp set and the Teacher die for the sentiment.

When I stamped the pencils for my card, I stamped them onto a piece of white cardstock and then used the slimline die to die cut the panel. This meant I had the bottom half of the pencils stamped on the card also. Rather than throw this panel away, I decided to use this for the bottom border of my card.

I then used two sentiments included in the Heffy Doodle's Teach Me Words stamp set.
