Divinity Designs - October Blessings Box

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a couple of cards I created using new stamps and dies from Divinity Designs October Blessings Box which is available today.

For my first card I created a Slimline Card using the new Slimline Poinsettia Background, I just love this new die set. I die cut and embossed this panel from red cardstock and then layered it onto a white glitter cardstock panel.

Divinity Designs has a number of dies that coordinate with this die set included the Poinsettia Pattern die set also included in the Blessings Box. This die set contains a circle poinsettia panel, and poinsettia flowers in a few different sizes. I used the flowers included in this die set to add detail to the flowers on the Slimline Poinsettia Background.

I used the Slimline Card Base and Slimline Layering Rectangles to create the slimline card.

I added a Christmas sentiment to the lower right hand side of my card using the Merry Christmas with Layers die set.

For my second card today, I created a Circle Card. For this I used the new Poinsettia Pattern and Circles die sets included in this month's Blessings Box.

I die cut the Poinsettia Pattern from white cardstock, and embossed it to bring out the detail of the leaves. This die has a lot of texture to it. While the die was still in place, I used a blending brush to add a light brown ink over the detail in the die.

To create the circle card base. I die cut two large circles Circles die set. I scored 1/2 inch down from the top of one of the circles, added adhesive the the scored portion and attach this to the other circle to form a top folding circle card. I added silver gems to each of the centres of the poinsettias.

I used the Candy Cane Wishes Stamp/Die Duo set to create the word "Joy".

For the inside of the card, I added the "To The World"; "Merry" and "Christmas" also from the Candy Cane Wishes Stamp/Die Duo set.
