Adventure This Way

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is me!

Apparently yesterday (5th February) was Weatherperson’s Day. Create a card that features some form of weather … sunshine; rain; snow; cloudy etc.

For my card today I have created a Slimline card. I used Hello Bluebird's Winter Walk Scene die to create the background scene of my card. I die cut the background from white cardstock and then colored all the various pieces using Distress Oxide inks.

As the challenge was all about weather, I added the sun to the sky portion of the card.

I used MFT Stamps Adorable Adventures stamp set to add the cute campers.

For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Mini Pops Pop-up die set.

I added panels to the base of the card that were colored using the same inks as I used for the front panel ... and the same with the back panel. For the grassy hills, I used Lawn Fawn's Slimline Stitched Grassy Hill Borders die set.

I added another sun and some more of the images from the MFT Stamps set.

Here is another look at the inside of my card, so you can see the pop-up portion of the card a little better.

I added the stamped sentiment to the base of the card, which is also from the Adorable Adventures stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Love your card! I HAD to have that stamp set, and still haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Great scene you created.
