Make A Wish

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a birthday card I created recently.

To create my card I decided to pull out one of my Simon Says Stamp Center Cut background stamps I purchased recently. This one is the Center Cut Star.

To create the background I stamped the background onto watercolor paper using VersaMark ink and embossing using white embossing powder. I then used my brusho's to add color to the background ... Lemon; Yellow; Orange and Scarlet.

I die cut the background using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles die set.

For the sentiment I used the Altenew Halftone Stars Clear Stamp set which I embossed using white embossing powder on a piece of orange cardstock.

To finish off the front of the card I added orange crystals over the card.

For the inside of the card I added a sentiment using three different stamp set. To keep with the star theme I added stars from the Altenew Halftone Stars Clear Stamp set, inking the stars in yellow, orange & red inks.

You're So Sharp

Hi Crafty Friends,

My card today is for a challenge I do with a couple of friends of mine. This time around we were supposed to create a card using something new. Just about everything I have created in the past month would be "new" as I have been busy creating cards using new release products from two design teams and also playing with stamps & dies I received for Christmas.

Today my card uses new products which were recently released by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

For the background I used the new Krista Schneider Circles Background which I stamped onto Watercolor Card and embossed with white embossing powder. I then added Turquoise, Purple and Leaf Green Brusho Crystal Color. I have only recently purchased the Brusho Crystal Color and am having fun playing with them.

I die cut the background using the Dashing Squares die set and then decorated the card using the Cacti Clear Stamp Set which was layered using the Stitched Fishtails and Fitted Fishtails.

For the inside of the card I used another image and the sentiment which are included in the Cacti Clear Stamp set.

ECD Design Team Focus on New Release - Krista Schneider

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today the Elizabeth Craft Designs Design Team are doing another Focus on New Release blog post on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. This time around we are focusing on Krista Schneider, there are eight new Clear Stamp sets with coordinating dies and four new 6 x 6 Background Stamps being released.

For my card today I have used Krista Schneider's Laundry Party Clear Stamp set and the Stripes Background stamp.

To create the background for this card I stamped the Stripes Background onto watercolor cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used brushos in lemon, yellow, orange and scarlet in a striped formation and added water. Once the background was dry I die cut it using the new Dashing Squares.

For the circles I used the Dashing Circles and Fitted Circles which I trimmed on two sides and adhered the bunch of flowers. The sentiment is layered using the Stitched Fishtail Banners.

For the inside of the card I added another floral image from the Laundry Party stamp set and added the sentiment from the Word Set 2 - Thinking of You.

Don't forget to visit theElizabeth Craft Designs blog to see what the other Design Team have created using the Susan's Garden new release dies.

Ommmmm!

Hi Crafty Friends,

This is about as close as I will ever get to yoga, I tried it once with my sister in law and it definitely isn't for me! But when I saw these cute little frogs I had to bring them home.

On the left hand corner of the card I used one of the dies from the Sizzix/Tim Holtz Mixed Media Thinlits and I crated a background piece using brusho's.  The white panel has been die cut using the new ModaScrap Dashing Rectangles die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is another look at my card taken at a different angle.

For the inside of the card, I stamped another one of the frog and added a birthday sentiment. There are a number of sentiments included in the Yoga Frog stamp set, but I wasn't sure if I had a use for the card if I used them, so I ended up using it for a birthday card.

Stamps: Frog Yoga - Stampendous
Paper: White; Black
Dies: Dashing Rectangles - Elizabeth Craft Designs; Mixed Media - Sizzix; Happy Birthday - Simon Says Stamp
