Birthday One for the Books

 

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have a fun gnome themed Arch Accordion card to share with you. This card uses products from Spellbinders March 2024 Club Kits and two of their Arch die sets. I have been wanting to make this style of card for sometime, so am happy that i finally got around to making one.

For the arch shapes I used Spellbinders Essential Arches for the base and inner arches. I used the Colorblock Accent Arches to add the layer the creates the fun pattern around the edges. To join the arches I cut 2 inches panels that measured approx 3 inches in height. I scored at 1 inch and then glued these to the bottom front of the arches that needed to be joined. Adding the tabs to the front means they are hidden when you add your layers on top.

To decorate my panels I used the Glimmer of the month from March 2024 ... Sketched Lines. I used gold glimmer foil to add the lines to the white arches and also to create the red sentiments at the bottom of each arch.

The gnomes are from the Stamp of the month ... Storytime Gnomes. I also used one of the sentiments from this stamp set for the sentiment on the left panel. I used some older Whimsy Stamps Speech Bubbles dies to add the stamped sentiments in, doing a little of creative partial die cutting to make the dies fit the sentiments. The other two sentiments are from an older book themed Mama Elephant stamp set from my stash.

This is a look at the front of the card, when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Gnome Father Like You

Today I am sharing a gnome themed Father's Day card I created recently.

I am always on the look out for male themed stamps and dies so when I saw this cute Beer Gnome stamp set from Woodware Stamps, I had to add it to my stash.

For my card base, I used Creative Craft Products A6 Window Card die set. I love how quick and easy these are to make.

Here you can see the card when it is folded ready to be placed in an envelope.

Here is a look at the back of my card. I added a white panel to the centre to add the sentiments and write a personal greeting.

The "Gnome Father" sentiment is from the Beer Gnome stamp set. The Happy Father's Day is from a Waffle Flower stamp set.

Gnome One Like You

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing a garden themed Wiper Card using stamps and dies from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. A couple of month's ago Sam released her 3D Display Card and Stand Collection and one of the add on sets was a Garden set that included this cute gnome and other garden related dies. I die cut them multiple times and paper pieced them to get a multicoloured look.

For the cloud background I used papers from Hunkydory, I thought the purple sky made a nice change to always doing blue. 

I used the grass border die included in the Easy Edges die set which I added to each of the three panels on the front of the card. The fence is a smaller die which I joined to be able to get it to fit the complete width of the card.

I wanted a tree in my card, so I used the tree die included in the Homes and Garden die set, there is a stamp to go with this die but seeing everything else was just die cuts I opted for only using the die.

The worm and dragonfly are both from the Garden Delights Twist and Pop die set, there are some amazing garden related dies included in this set.

For the sentiment on the wiper section I used a gnome themed sentiment from a Crafter's Companion stamp set. The speech bubble is included in the 6 x 6 Square Pop-up Wiper Card die set, it's normally a little wider but as I didn't need it that wide I repositioned the die after die cutting it the first time.

For the back of the card, I added more of the die cuts included in the Garden Additions die set and another grass border. The Happy Birthday panel is also included in the Wiper Card die set, I really need to use this more. To finish off the card, I added the stamped sentiment included in the Garden Additions stamp set.
