Over the past few months, I have been enjoying making "puppet" themed cards using the It's Only More Puppets Collection from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. Last year I was able to get some of the puppet dies from the original It's Only A Puppet Collection, however the embossing folder and Santa/Rudolph die set weren't available to purchase.
A few weeks ago, I received an email notification from Craft Stash to say that the whole collection of It's Only A Puppet was back in stock and available to purchase .., yay! So of course I ordered what I didn't have :)
My dies arrived last week, so I wasted no time pulling out the Santa from the Santa & Rudolph die set to make a Christmas card.
Here is a quick video to see my card in action.
For my card today, I decided to combine the It's Only a Puppet 6 x 6 mechanism die set with a Wiper Card. So it has two kinetic actions going on. For the Wiper card, I used Made To Surprise's 6 x 6 Square Pop-up Wiper Card die set.
As you can see, I also used the Snow Angel Embossing Folder for my background, I love how this looks, I used pearlescent white cardstock for this panel to add some shimmer to the card.
When you pull the sides of the card, it reveals the speech bubble with the "Ho Ho Ho" sentiment coming out of the top of the card. The speech bubble is attached to a clear acetate wiper mechanism using one of the dies included in the Wiper Card die set. The "Ho Ho Ho" sentiment is from the Christmas Words die set also from Made To Surprise.
Along the bottom of the square panel, I added another sentiment which is from the Christmas Fun Sentiments stamp set. I white embossed the sentiment on red cardstock and then added a silver holographic border.
The wax seal on the top right hand corner of the card was created using a Spellbinder's Wax Seal Stamp ... Do Not Open. I also added a few extra red beaded embellishments which were also created using the red wax seal beads I used for the wax seal.
I added a white panel to the back of the wiper card, so I could have a place for more sentiment and a personal greeting.
I used another sentiment from the Christmas Fun Sentiments stamp set and also added the Merry Christmas from the Creative Craft Products Inside Out Sentiments Christmas Card die set.
Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing an "Under the Sea" themed Wiper Card using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 6in x 6 in Square Pop-up Wiper Card die set.
I used papers from Made To Surprise's Under the Sea Paper Pad to decorate the base of the card.
I used the Clam Shell die from Whimsy Stamps to add the clam to the lower left hand side of the card.
The mermaids and sea animals are all from Simon Says Stamp's Beautiful Mermaids stamp set.
When you pull the sides of the card, it reveals the mermaid coming out of the top of the card. The mermaid is attached to a clear acetate wiper mechanism using one of the dies included in the Wiper Card die set.
I have added a white panel to the back of the card, so that I could add a sentiment and write a personal greeting to whoever ends up receiving this.
I added one more of the mermaids to the left edge of the card.
Along the bottom of the panel I added one of the Washi strips from the Made To Surprise Under the Sea Washi Tape pack. Above the Washi tape, I added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment which was created using a die included in the Wiper Card die set.
The "Swimming By" Sentiment and fish are both from the Under the Sea Sentiment stamp set, also from Made to Surprise.
Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing a garden themed Wiper Card using stamps and dies from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott. A couple of month's ago Sam released her 3D Display Card and Stand Collection and one of the add on sets was a Garden set that included this cute gnome and other garden related dies. I die cut them multiple times and paper pieced them to get a multicoloured look.
For the cloud background I used papers from Hunkydory, I thought the purple sky made a nice change to always doing blue.
I used the grass border die included in the Easy Edges die set which I added to each of the three panels on the front of the card. The fence is a smaller die which I joined to be able to get it to fit the complete width of the card.
I wanted a tree in my card, so I used the tree die included in the Homes and Garden die set, there is a stamp to go with this die but seeing everything else was just die cuts I opted for only using the die.
The worm and dragonfly are both from the Garden Delights Twist and Pop die set, there are some amazing garden related dies included in this set.
For the sentiment on the wiper section I used a gnome themed sentiment from a Crafter's Companion stamp set. The speech bubble is included in the 6 x 6 Square Pop-up Wiper Card die set, it's normally a little wider but as I didn't need it that wide I repositioned the die after die cutting it the first time.
For the back of the card, I added more of the die cuts included in the Garden Additions die set and another grass border. The Happy Birthday panel is also included in the Wiper Card die set, I really need to use this more. To finish off the card, I added the stamped sentiment included in the Garden Additions stamp set.
Today I am sharing another Teacher thank you card. December isn't all that far away now that it is already October, and I still have a few more teacher thank you cards to get made for my grandchildren to give to their teachers at the end of the school year.
When Lawn Fawn's most recent release came out at the end of August, I had no intention of buying their newest interactive card, the Peekaboo Pop-up die set which basically is a wiper card. I already had the Mama Elephant one from years ago, and I had just received all the ones from Made to Surprise. So I didn't order it. A few days after my order arrived and I kept seeing more cards made using this die set I decided it was different enough from the others and fortunately my local retailer still had it in stock. Hence today's card is a Peekaboo Pop-up using the new Lawn Fawn die set.
To decorate my card, I used two stamp sets from Clearly Besotted ... School Day Play and Stationery Plushies. I also pulled out an older Heffy Doodle Stamp Set for the blackboard called Teacher's Pet.
You can see how the book and pencil that you can see under the blackboard are revealed when you pull the sides out.
The Peekaboo Pop-up die set, comes with a rectangle panel to add to the back of the card. As I was adding mine to a white card base, I added a black layer between.
All the sentiments on this card are from one of my go to teacher themed sentiment sets from Heffy Doodle called "Teach Me Words" it has so many different sentiments and even though I have other sentiment sets, this one often gets used on my cards.
I added to more images that I had left over from decorating the front of my card to finish the card.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Today I am sharing a Wiper Card that I created recently.
It's actually been a couple of years since I have made this style of card, so it was fun to get to make this one.
Here is a quick video to see my card in action.
To create the Wiper Card part of this card I used Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 5 x 7 Wiper Card die set. This die set includes all the dies needed to create the Wiper Card base, including the layers and wiper mechanism etc. There are three different versions of this die for different sizes which I have linked in my supply list below.
To decorate my card I used Elizabeth Craft Designs Monster Collection which was designed by Joset Designs. I die cut the monsters using various rainbow colours ... four seen from the front and one on the back.
When you pull the sides of the card, it reveals the red monster that is holding a cookie. The monster is attached to a clear acetate wiper mechanism using one of the dies included in the Wiper Card die set.
I have added a white panel to the back of the card, so that I could add a sentiment and write a personal greeting to whoever ends up receiving this. I also added one more of the cute monsters to the panel.
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Anne Harmon our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day and apparently also Anne's husband's birthday. So for our challenge this week we are to make a masculine Valentine card using nontraditional colors (no red or pink)
Last year I finally got around to purchasing one of Spellbinder's past die of the month kits, Truckin Through the Seasons which I had been wanting for ages. I thought I might try and use this die set throughout the year creating scenes using the various scenes/occasions. I am not sure I will use it every month, but I will try and use it as many times as I can. Last month I created a beach/summer card using the die set and today I decided to use it for a Valentine's Card.
This time around I decided to create a Wiper Surprise Card using Mama Elephant's Wiper Surprise die set. You can see a video above of my card in action.
As the challenge was to not use red or pink to create a nontraditional Valentine's card, I decided to go with the colors blue and brown.
I die cut the truck from brown cardstock and shaded around the edges using brown ink. I used the "OXOX" number plate from Spellbinder's So Many Sentiments die set, this die set coordinates with the Truckin Through the Seasons die set.
I die cut the large hearts from Karen Burniston's Heart Pivot Panels die set from various shades of blue cardstock.
I used Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hillside Borders for the front panel, and added a thin strip of grey cardstock to represent a road.
When you pull the sides of the card it reveals a large heart which has the sentiment "Sending You My Love" this sentiment is from Divinity Designs Fill My Heart stamp set which is included in their January 2020 Blessings Box kit.
I added the birch trees from Lawn Fawn's Birch Trees die set on either side of the card to complete the scene.
I needed something on the top centre portion of the card, so I added a few die cut birds which are from a couple of older Couture Creations die sets.
To finish off the card, I added the cute bear holding the sign, which is a Mama Elephant stamp set. I mixed portions of three sentiments included in the stamp set to create the sentiment on the sign.
I added a panel to the back of the card, for a place to add an additional sentiment which is from Karen Burniston's Word Set 9 - Love die set. This also gives a place to write a personal greeting.

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce a new challenge hostess which is Rebecca Ednie.
Rebecca tells us ... It might not be quite warm enough for swimming but you can still enjoy the beach! Let’s make cards with sand on them. You can use real sand, sand paper, stamps or images.
I created a Wiper card using Mama Elephant Stamps Wiper Surprise Card die set. You can see a quick video to see my card in action above.
To decorate my card I decided to use a couple of the new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies that I purchased last month. I have used Lawn Fawn On The Beach Stamp set and the Palm Tree Border die set.
When you pull the sides of the card it reveals a sun popping up behind the palm trees. As I put sunglasses on the bear and fox, I decided to use the sun wearing sunglasses, that I have had in my stash for years.
I added a sentiment to the top left hand corner of the card. This is an older stamp from MFT which is long retired.

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I finish off the month with one last challenge.
May is apparently Barbecue Month and the 28th May is Hamburger Day…. so for our challenge this week let's think BBQ's and/or Hamburger
For my card this week I decided to combine both the BBQ and Hamburger theme on my card.
I created a Wiper Card. For the front side of the wiper card, I die cut a stripe of green cardstock using the grass border from Karen Burniston's Nature Edges die set. For the back portion of the card I used blue cardstock and sponged Unicorn White ink over the card using MFT Stamps Mini Cloud Stencil.
The BBQ is an older stamp from Art Impressions which I have had for some time. I paper pieced the apron and glove using designer paper.
The BBQ, food and sentiments are from Lawn Fawn's Let's BBQ stamp set. I also added some ants which is from Lawn Fawn's Happy Summer stamp set.
When you pull the card on the sides, it reveals a stack of hotdogs and hamburgers which pop up.
For the back of the card, I added a sentiment from DRS Designs. I added a grass border along the bottom portion of the card. I added a few ants and some more of the BBQ food for the ants to carry.

My card today is for a challenge I do with a couple of friends of mine. Each month we challenge each other to create something using supplies we all own.
This month our challenge is to create a Wiper Card.
As I had just received my La La Land Crafts March 2019 Product Kit, I decided to use that for my card today.
I adhered floral patterned paper to the back section of the Wiper card to resemble wallpaper, and woodgrain paper to the front section to resemble a table or counter top.
I combined the cute hamsters included in the product kit with the die cut images to create my scene.
When you pull the card open, it reveals the cute hamster and slice of cake that pops up from behind the mixer.
I added a panel to the back of the card to add another sentiment and a place to write a personal greeting. I also added a couple of images that I had remaining.
