Gnomefuls of Love This Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Slimline card I created recently. For my card I used Woodware Craft Collection's Christmas Gang stamp set, I just love this cute gnome image.

I framed the image using Whimsy Stamps' Slimline Twisty Frame die set.

I added the gnome themed Christmas sentiment to the bottom of the frame which is also from the stamp set.

For the inside of the card I stamped one of the names from the Christmas Gang Stamp set, I also stamped the arm for the other gnome at the opposite end of the stamp, so my gnome could have two arms.

The sentiment is from a Picket Fence Studios' "A Gnome Christmas stamp set".

I also added a few stamped snowflakes randomly around the white panel.

A Crackin' Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

According to the Days of the Year website, tomorrow (2nd September} is World Beard Day!

I figured gnomes have beards, so I pulled out a gnome Christmas stamp set to make a Christmas card. This fun gnome is from the Nutcracker Gnome stamp set from Woodware Stamps.

For my card today I created a trifold card, using Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's 6 x 6 Trifold Card from the Showstopper Collection.

I added a snowflake wax seal to the lower right side of the oval sentiment panel using a snowflake wax seal I purchased from Amazon. I also created some wax embellishments to use around the nutcracker gnome.

I added a panel to the back of the card, so that I could use another of the sentiments included in the Nutcracker Gnome stamp set and also have a place to write a personal greeting. I added a few green snowflakes which match the colour of the snowflakes on the pattern paper I used on the front of the card.

Gnome Father Like You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a gnome themed Father's Day card I created recently.

I am always on the look out for male themed stamps and dies so when I saw this cute Beer Gnome stamp set from Woodware Stamps, I had to add it to my stash.

For my card base, I used Creative Craft Products A6 Window Card die set. I love how quick and easy these are to make.

Here you can see the card when it is folded ready to be placed in an envelope.

Here is a look at the back of my card. I added a white panel to the centre to add the sentiments and write a personal greeting.

The "Gnome Father" sentiment is from the Beer Gnome stamp set. The Happy Father's Day is from a Waffle Flower stamp set.

Bake A Wish

Hi Craft Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun fold card I created recently. This is a 5 x 7 Side Panel Pillar Card,  I used a tutorial by Sam Calcott which you can find here

I have been wanting to play with this cute Woodware Stamps Gnome Chef for a while and as it fitted into the white panel, it seemed a perfect time to use it.

I added a panel on the back of the card, for a place to add a sentiment and a personal greeting. I used sentiments from both Honey Bee Stamps and Creative Craft Products.

The card folds flat and will fit into a 5 x 7 envelope.

Never Stop

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a Floral Slimline Card to share with you today using mostly stamps and dies from Pinkfresh Studio.

To create my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Chrysanthemum Slimline Stamp Set with coordinating stencils and dies. I stamped the flower using black ink and then used inks from Catherine Pooler Designs and the coordinating stencils to add the color to the flower. I did use the coordinating die to die cut the flower, but then I decided to fussy cut the image so there was no white areas to be seen.

For the background of my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Floral Grid Coverplate. I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly larger than I needed and then used the die to die cut the top portion of the cardstock, I then moved the die down to cut the lower portion of the card. I then used a Slimline die from Picket Fence Studios to die cut the panel. I cut a piece of pink cardstock the same size as the white panel and layered these together. Finally I layered the background to a piece of green cardstock and then onto the side folding 3 3/4 inches x 8 3/4 inches slimline card.

I added the chrysanthemum to the left side of background panel using foam tape.

The "Never Stop" sentiment is also included in the Chrysanthemum Slimline stamp set and used the coordinating die to die cut the sentiment. I layered this to two more die cut layers using the die and adhered it to the top right corner of the card.

For the "Being Awesome" I combined two sentiments from two different Catherine Pooler Designs stamp sets. I white embossed this onto black cardstock and then die cut the sentiment before layering over the lower portion of the flower.

Finally I added some Glacier Jewels randomly around the card.

For the inside of the card, I used the Floral Grid Coverplate die again to create the border along the right edge of my card. I again layered this panel over pink cardstock.

For the sentiment I used Woodware's Ode To You stamp to the left side of the card. I also added the birthday sentiment underneath the long sentiment, this time using a sentiment from a Stampendous stamp set.

Sew Happy Gnome

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Gnome themed Mini Slimline Easel card that I created recently.

My card when it is closed measures 3 inches x 6 inches. I used Trinity Stamps Mini Slimline Geometric die to create the background of my card.

The gnome is from Woodware Stamp's Sewing Gnome stamp set.

I used Hero Arts Circle Infinity dies to add the sentiment on the top right hand corner of the card.

Here is a photo of my card when it is folded ready to be placed in an envelope.

Merry And Bright Bauble

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have another Christmas themed Slimline card to share with you all today.

For the Slimline portion of the card I used Trinity Stamps Slimline Quilted Cover Die to create the background of my card. I die cut the panel from white cardstock and then blended Catherine Pooler Designs Samba ink around the edge of the card and layered this to a side folding slimline card that measure 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.

I used the Pine Wish die from The Greetery, to add the greenery to the top left of my card.

For the bauble, I used Woodware's Bubble Bauble and Ribbon stamp set. I stamped the image onto white cardstock, embossing the image in gold. There is a coordinating "Bubble" die available for this stamp set which will die cut the three larger of the "Bubble/circles". I used this die to die cut the circles from red and green glitter cardstock. I then used a styles to round the circles and adhered them randomly to the bauble. For the smaller circles, I colored with Copic markers and then applied Glossy Accents to each of them. I cut out the image and adhered it to the card using foam tape.

I added the "Merry & Bright" sentiment which uses Pinkfresh Studio's Perfect Sentiments Holiday & Solid Glimmer Hot Foil Plates.

For the inside of my card, I added two more of the sentiments using the Perfect Sentiments Holiday Glimmer Hot Foil Plate.

To decorate the inside,  I added some of the glittered circles that I had leftover from decorating the bauble on the front.

Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

t’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Ostergard our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off her month with one last challenge.

This week Karen has asked us to create a monochromatic card.

For my card today I decided to create a Slimline Fold Flap card. One the front rectangle I added the "Thinking of You Perfect Pairings" die set from Concord & 9th. To give it a glittered look, before die cutting the sentiment I added Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the front of the cardstock and then added Cool Diamond Silk Microsoft Glitter over the sentiment.

For the inside of my card I used Woodware's Ode To You Slimline stamp which I placed as close to the fold as possible so it couldn't be seen when the card was closed.

On the left flap, I added the flowers from the frame included in Concord & 9th's Thinking of You Perfect Pairings stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Century ... Long Way Off!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a male themed birthday Slimline card that I created recently.

I am always on the lookout for stamps and dies that are suitable for male cards, so when I discovered this cricket themed stamp set some time ago I had to add it to my stash. Cricket is a sport that is very popular down here in Australia. The stamp set is from Woodware stamps and is called How's Zat!

To create my card, I used Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set to die cut a rectangle from white cardstock. I used Lawn Fawn's Grassy Hills Stencils along with Peeled Paint & Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks to create the grass area along the bottom of the card. I added Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxide inks to the sky area.

I stamped the cricketer, stumps, and ball which I adhered to the lower portion of the card.

To the top of the card, I added the sentiment (century in cricket means the batsman has scored 100 runs), I also stamped a couple of birds which is from Hero Arts Beach Heroscape stamp set.

For the inside of the card I created a grassy area using the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hills Stencils. I stamped the bat and the ball from the stamp set which I added to the grassy area.

To finish off the card, I added a birthday sentiment using stamps from Altenew's Birthday Builder stamp set.

O Little Town of Bethlehem

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce our new challenge hostess which is ME!

A Blue Christmas ... take inspiration from the song that Elvis used to sing and create a Christmas card which includes the color blue in it. Don’t celebrate Christmas … just make a card that includes blue.

For my card today I have another Slimline Sliding Window Pop-up Card using Trinity Stamps Slimline Surprises die set. To decorate the card I used a new Slimline stamp set from Woodware Stamps called Peaceful Nights.

I gold embossed the Peaceful Nights image onto blue cardstock and then layered this onto gold and then blue cardstock, so that when the image is pop-up by pulling the slider you can see both colors behind the image.

I used a sentiment from an older Papertrey Ink's Instant Photo: Holiday stamp set which is also gold embossed.

Here is a side view of my card when the sliding has been pulled up. here you can see the gold embossed sentiment in the front and also one at the top of the slider.

I used gold ribbon and blue cord to the top of the slider panel, this makes it easier to hold on to the panel when you want to pull it open.

I kept this card as a flat card rather than adding it to a folded card, this way the recipient is encouraged to display it in the open position. I added rectangle panels from Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Panels and Windows die set.

I added a Christmas sentiment from Divinity Designs Christmas Wishes stamp set to the white panel. While these sentiments weren't designed for Slimline cards, being longer than normal sentiments they are perfect sentiments to fit on a Slimline card.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
