Time!

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Our July challenge hostess, Sabrina Friel is back this week with another fun challenge for us.

Collage stamping: use at least 4 different stamps to create a collage panel for your card: SCS tutorials here and here, and the write-up in WT331 is actually what got Sabrina over her fear of collage stamping.

For my card today I went with a time theme using a variety of different time themed stamps that I have had in my stash for years … sorry most I can’t remember where they are from I have had them that long and being unmounted don’t have names on them. I added the cool watch face to the centre of the stop watch the hand is holding which I picked up recently from Stamp in Style at a recent paper crafts show.

Here is the inside of my card … I added a sentiment and a few more clock related images (cogs are inside watches).

Swirl Double Embossing

Hi everyone,

My card today uses the double embossing technique which was created using the Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers from Sizzix. I used the diffuser which has the oval hole in the centre so when I put this through my big shot the oval section in the centre didn’t emboss … these are fun to play with!

That Hat

Hi everyone,

I have another card I created when playing with Double Embossing and the new Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers by Sizzix.

You can’t tell by the card but the where the circle is on my card has not been embossed as I used the Embossing Diffuser when I embossed the background. But then I went and layered the image which hid the empty space LOL.

I have another flip it card to share with you today using the Sizzix Square Flip It dies. I decorated this card using pre colored images called Stylish Shortcuts I got recently.

Here is the “flip” side of my card when it is opened fully. I used another of the images included in the Stylish Shortcuts sheet.

Hi there!

Today I have another card which uses the Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers by Sizzix. This time round I used the diffuser which has the oval going across the card and at the top or bottom (depending on how you look at it)

This time I used just the oval cut out piece and positioned it near the bottom of my card as I wanted it to be where the little girl I used for this card was standing (like grass or footpath or whatever!) Once I had embossed the card I then used inks and sponging blocks to apply the color to my card.

Birthday Girl

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Embossing Diffusers by Sizzix which makes it easy to create the Double Embossing technique. I have created a few cards using this product which I will share with you over the next couple of weeks.

The embossing diffusers come with 3 different shapes and for each shape you get the positive and the negative piece … which allows you to create some fun looks using your existing embossing folders. I don’t know about you but I have a TON of embossing folders so I like the idea of this new tool for more versatility.

For this card I used the circle embossing diffuser and I used both the positive and negative piece. The diffuser goes on top of your embossing folder you want to use in place of one of  your cutting plates which. Where there is a hole or no diffuser your embossing folder does not emboss. Confused … there are many videos out there which should help.

Anyway back to my card. I first used the Sizzix Brick Wall Embossing Folder through my big shot using the circle embossing diffuser (the one which has the circle cut out of the centre. You can see how the brick wall didn’t emboss in the centre of my card which then allowed me to use another embossing folder (dots) and this time I used the circle and lined that up so it was over the empty circle on my card and viola … easy!

Butterflies

Hi everyone,

I recently was given a couple of sheets of Stylish Shortcuts by Stamp in Style which are images already colored. This sheet had a bunch of butterflies on them so I decided to use it to make another pop up card.

Here is the inside of the card, this uses the Sizzix Pop N Cuts base and the Sizzix Circle Label Inset which comes with the base. as you can see I cut out a few of the butterflies from the Stylish Shortcuts sheet and placed them around the base and back of the card.

I have one more card to share with you today using Stamp In Style stamps. The Golf Bag has been paper pieced using designer paper.

The embellishment I used on my card on the top right corner is also available from Stamp In Style.

Merry Christmas!

Well I think I have made my first Christmas card for 2012 … fortunately Christmas is still a long way off LOL!
The stamps used here are from a Christmas set available from Stamp in Style, I just love that cute little reindeer. This is another of the card I made for this weekend’s Scrapbook & Papercrafts Expo & Convention which is being held here in Brisbane this weekend.

Wisdom Begins in Wonder

Hi everyone,
The excitement is building up as the Scrapbook & Papercraft Expo & Convention is fast approaching. Three days of fun starting tomorrow Saturday 9th June at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Southbank.
I will we demoing again for Sydney based company Stamp in Style, so if you are planning on attending the show, drop by and say hi. My card today uses a stamp set which Stamp in Style will have on sale during the weekend.
