Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week I am continuing to issue the challenges for the month of February.

Our challenge today is to create a Flat Backed Treat Box, you can find a tutorial on how to create these on SCS . Bonus points if you include a heart for Valentines Day.

Well as you can see I didn’t earn bonus points cause mine isn’t a Valentines theme but rather an Australian theme hehe.

For my Flat Back Treat Box I used La La Land Crafts Koala Marci and also the Mushroom to decorate my box. I did make my box slightly longer than the one in the tutorial which was pretty easy to do … just decide how wide you want yours to be and add the extra length to the card. When it came to scoring I scored one side then turned my paper around in my Scor-Pal and scored the other side the same as I did previously … easy!

You’re Too Sweet!

It’s challenge time again with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week our challenge hostess, Sabrina continues with her September challenges.

This week Sabrina has challenged us to use an image or paper which features food or drink. Bonus points if you make a card which includes a recipe.

I didn’t worry about trying to get bonus points LOL, after all there are no prizes . I decided to create a Treat Box card this week using a lolly/candy theme … after all that is food too, right!

I used a couple of Magnolia stamps to create my card.

Here is the inside of my card. The scrap piece that was left over when I cut my hole in the treat box section I used on the inside of the card adding a few buttons to it.

From The Heart!

Hi everyone,

It’s day 2 of the MFTeasers, in preparation of the release of the new stamp sets which are all due to be released by MFT Stamps this coming Tuesday 3rd January.

Today the Design Team are featuring one of the new stamp sets that will be released, which is Bunch of Hearts Flopsey. I just adore Flopsey!

When I think of Valentines Day, I think of Hearts and chocolates so I decided to combine the two to create my project today which is a Treat Box card. You can find a tutorial on how to create one of these over in the resource section of Splitcoast Stampers.

I altered the template a little so that I could make the card section slightly wider as I needed it for my image. Inside the treat section I have place 4 heart chocolates.

Flopsey is layered onto one of MFT Stamps newest Die-namics die which is also being released next Tuesday which is the Die-namics Layered Hearts. I love the holes around the edge of the top heart as it gives you so many options. You can leave it plain like I have on this card or you can add stitching,rhinestones etc.

Here is one more photo of the front of my card, this time with the box open. This is another modification I made to the template adding a tab so I could open and close the treat box section easily.

Here is the inside of my card. I used the Die-namics Layered Hearts die again and on top of that I used the Die-namics Sweet Stack Labels for my sentiment. The Sentiment is from the Bunch of Hearts Flopsey stamp set.
